Happy Hump Day! Some news items that caught my eye:
• Pink News: Alice Oseman, who created the queer web-comic Heartstopper in 2016, has announced the serie’s finale movie now has a scheduled release date of July 2, 2026. #CantWait
• Gay Times: 9-1-1 star Oliver Stark reflected on bringing “Evan ‘Buck’ Buckley” and his bisexual storyline to life on September 23, observed as Bi Visibility Day (click to play).
• The Advocate: Boston police are investigating a potential hate crime against a gay couple who said they were attacked in the city’s Mattapan neighborhood September 13, with one member of the couple being hit with a baseball bat, after ma group of men started shouting antigay slurs at them.
• Outsports: While Dancing With The Stars & its global counterparts have featured same-sex dance partners in past seasons, the Polish edition of the show is currently has its first-ever same-sex pairing with Olympic medalist rower Katarzyna Zillmann. As you may know, Poland isn’t known as a bastion of LGBTQ acceptance, so…progress.

• Reuters: White House officials are demanding an investigation into why an escalator stopped during Trump’s visit to the United Nations yesterday. A U.N. spokesperson says the escalator stopped after a built-in safety mechanism was triggered at the top of the escalator by Trump’s own videographer. #OhBrother…
