The Supreme Court will allow the Trump administration to proceed, for now, with a plan to revoke temporary legal protections for hundreds of thousands of immigrants.
The justices annulled a ruling from a lower court that had maintained humanitarian parole protections for over 530,000 migrants hailing from four nations: Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela.
Breaking news: The Supreme Court cleared the way, for now, for the Trump administration to revoke the temporary legal status of more than 530,000 migrants from four countries who have been allowed to live and work in the United States while their immigration cases play out.

The Trump administration’s decision to strip away such protections was the first-ever mass revocation of humanitarian parole.
The Justice Department’s position is that the protections for individuals fleeing extreme unrest in their home countries were always meant to be temporary, and the Department of Homeland Security has the authority to strip such safeguards without court interference.
This ruling follows the high court’s previous decision permitting the administration to rescind temporary legal status for approximately 350,000 Venezuelan migrants in a separate case.
It’s worth noting that the 2024 FIU Cuba Poll, a long-running survey of Cuban Americans, showed 68% support for Trump among likely Cuban American voters, which is the highest approval rate recorded for him in that survey.
And exit poll data from key states like Texas and Georgia, shows Trump made significant gains among Latino voters, including Venezuelans.
So, it looks like those folks are getting what they voted for…
So, SCOTUS rules Trump can revoke the temporary legal status of more than 530,000 migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela, essentially forcing people back to countries from which they fled, but we welcome Afrikaners in with open arms?
