It was a wild ride on Wall Street today as Donald Trump announced he would pause some — but not all — of his sweeping tariffs.
Trump says he paused tariffs because people were afraid. “People were jumping a little bit out of line. They were getting yippy.” pic.twitter.com/PfJADGltNr

But just two days ago, Trump was asked if he would consider a pause on the tariffs and he quickly replied, “We’re not looking at that.”
It was only 2 days ago when Trump was asked if he was open to a pause, and his reply was “We’re not looking at that.” Trump just proved that he has no plan, and is just lurching from crisis to crisis, all caused by him. pic.twitter.com/9oVuLFkr4r

Some folks have raised the question of possible “market manipulation” as just hours before announcing his “pause,” Trump specifically told his social media followers “This is a great time to buy!”
Trump posts THIS IS A GREAT TIME TO BUY!!!—then caves on tariffs hours later. Market surges. Middle-class investors who sold during the chaos lose big. Insiders win again. This is market manipulation to help his base profit. How is this legal or OK? pic.twitter.com/iXs92TRzS5

Who in the administration knew about Trump’s latest tariff flip flop ahead of time? Did anyone buy or sell stocks, and profit at the public’s expense? I’m writing to the White House — the public has a right to know.
