Some news items you might have missed: • LGBTQ Nation: Aaron Craig Gleason (above), is an anti-LGBTQ+ writer (The Daily Wire, The Federalist) who has accused queer people of “grooming” children for sexual abuse. He was arrested on January 28 and charged with molesting a child under the age of 12. Gleason, 39, is also a middle school teacher and a soccer coach. • Kenneth-in-the-212: Check out Kenneth’s weekly round-up of LGBTQ publications including the current issue of RAGE Magazine that features my about-to-open production of Hello, Dolly! at San Diego Musical Theatre. 
• Gayety: Out recording stars Elton John and Brandi Carlile have teamed up for a new album, Who Believes In Angels?, set to be released on April 4. • New York Times: Trump’s pause on foreign aid, and the gutting of USAID, could jeopardize the health of more than 20 million people with HIV worldwide, including 500,000 children. • Instagram: Trans man Aiden Michael Mann puts Trump’s new executive order regarding trans women in women’s sports into perspective. https://www.instagram.com/p/DFuxRnJxTEd/ • The Advocate: Cadet clubs at West Point Military Academy for women in engineering, Native American heritage, and LGBTQ+ support have been disbanded. Critics say that shutting down these groups strips cadets of crucial networks that provide leadership development, career mentorship, and personal support. • Wall Street Journal: One of Elon Musk’s DOGE staffers, 25-year-old Marko Elez, has resigned after a WSJ reported discovered his X account contained numerous racist posts in just the past few months: “You could not pay me to marry outside of my ethnicity,” “Normalize Indian hate,” and “Just for the record, I was racist before it was cool.”
