• The Independent: The uncle of the active-duty Green Beret who was driving a Tesla Cybertruck that blew up outside Trump’s Las Vegas hotel on New Year’s Day says his nephew was “100 percent patriot” and “loved Trump.” • Axios: President Biden will award the Presidential Citizens Medal (bestowed to Americans who have “performed exemplary deeds of service for their country or their fellow citizens”) to attorney Mary Bonauto, who fought to legalize same-sex marriage in the U.S., and Even Wolfson, founder of Freedom To Marry.
