From the YouTube video:
“The other thing I had to tell you guys about… it’s not like my favorite thing to bring up, but some of you have kind of figured it out and speculated for a while.
“David and I separated quite some time ago now. And it feels like you people who know me — but don’t really know me in real life — are the last people to know about it. Everybody in my world has known about it for quite some time.”
“It feels crazy that I haven’t come clean on the internet yet, but I was waiting for the right moment and the right way. [But] the longer I waited, the longer it was like weird that I hadn’t said anything. And then, you know, my break came and went.
…
“It was a very long relationship and a lot of parts of it will always make me very happy… it just feels like I haven’t told you fine people, and it’s very old news now, in a way. Like, it’s not old, but it is old.”
“I will always care about that person,” Trixie added. “I love our motel. I love all of our business ventures. Being creative together, with him, was especially one of the heights of my life.”
Trixie and David began dating in 2016, and over the last eight years fans followed the couple through two seasons of their reality series Trixie Motel where the couple renovated a Palm Springs motel. David also produced the 2019 documentary film Moving Parts, which chronicled the drag superstar’s journey while RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 3 was airing. The video is cued up below.
