Join Us For ‘CATS4Kamala – A New Day Has Begun’

Click over to the online event CATS4Kamala, A New Day Has Begun – featuring Tony Award-winner, Betty Buckley, SAG Award-winner Bryan Batt, and many alumni from the musical’s Broadway, London, and national touring companies (including yours truly). Directed by my company’s “Skimbleshanks” – Jonathan S. Cerullo – this event includes Broadway artists Deborah Geneviere Athens, Anthony Vincent Bova, Jen Cody, Adrea Gibbs, Sydney Harcourt, Austin Jetton, Donna King, Kris Longwell, Karen Longwell, Kari Nicolaisen, James A. Rocco, Randy Slovacek, Linden Waddell, and Matt Zarley speaking personally about what concerns them the most in this election. The event, inspired by associate producer Melinda Buckley and featuring original music composed by David Geist, will include a QR code/link to donate (any amount!) directly to the Harris/Walz campaign. Back in the 1980s, when I was the “Magical Mr. Mistoffelees” in CATS, my company was the first national touring production to hold a large-scale HIV/AIDS benefit raising over $30K in one night. Four years ago, my cast reunited virtually to entertain a bit and raise over $22K for the Broadway Cares COVID-19 Emergency Fund in order to help those in our industry at such a difficult time. And now, here we are again. The event goes live at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT – but don’t worry if you can’t make it then. The video will remain active for viewing through November 1.
