Kristi Noem Dodges Questions On Kim Jong Un Meeting

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R) continues to dodge questions regarding a passage in her new memoir wherein she claimed to have met North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un – which never happened. During an interview on CBS Mornings, she was asked again about the lie.

Noem’s publisher has issued a statement saying the passage is being removed at the request of Noem. They add that “further questions about the passage should be referred to the author.”

Since the erroneous passage was noticed, the closest to acknowledging the lie Noem has come has been to say the passage was to be removed as soon as she realized it was there.

But she’s credited as the memoir’s author, and she recorded the audio book herself. So, she read and said the words aloud several weeks ago. And yet, the passage remained until the press picked up on it.

Noem’s memoir came to national attention last week when news outlets discovered a passage where Noem shared that she shot and killed her 14-month-old puppy Cricket.

She had decided the dog was “untrainable,” so she took the pup to a gravel pit and shot her. Of course, she could have simply surrendered the pup to more capable dog owners.

She also suggests in her book that President Biden’s dog Commander should be shot as well writing, “Commander, say hello to Cricket.”

Political pundits says the governor has been on a shortlist to become Donald Trump’s running mate, and some have wondered if she included the episode to appear “tough” to Trump.

But between killing Cricket and the Kim Jong Un passage, she’s just made herself out to be heartless and a liar.
