University Of North Florida Forced To Close LGBTQ Center

Thanks to a state law signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) last year, the LGBTQ center at the University of North Florida has been forced to close. https://twitter.com/wjxt4/status/1785647911058985098   The new law bans public universities and colleges from spending money on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs. Four different centers on campus that were under the umbrella of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion are now closed: the LGBTQ Center, the Interfaith Center, the Women’s Center,  and the Intercultural Center. The closure will impact some services previously offered to students. According to the local NBC News affiliate, the University of North Florida has been named a diversity champion and ranked as one of the best LGBTQ colleges or universities in the state in the past. https://youtu.be/9mX00fg0r0s?si=_Y-E9a52LKB94Oij
