The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has announced its 2026 class of inductees.
Phil Collins, Oasis, Billy Idol, Wu-Tang Clan, Luther Vandross, Sade, Joy Division/New Order and Iron Maiden have been named as this year’s inductees in the “Performer” category.

Queen Latifah, Graham Parsons, Celia Cruz Fela Kuti and MC Lyte will be honored with the “Early Influence” award.
Linda Creed, Arif Mardin, Jimmy Miller and Rick Rubin will receive the “Musical Excellence” award.
And TV legend Ed Sullivan will be the recipient of The Ahmet Ertegun Award, honoring industry professionals who are not performers but have made a significant impact on the business of music.

Among those not included this year is Mariah Carey, denied once again on her 3rd nomination. She was previously on the short list in 2021 and 2023.
Also not making the cut this year are Lauryn Hill, Pink, The Black Crowes, Jeff Buckley, Melissa Etheridge and INXS.
The Rock Hall has expanded its definition of rock icons in recent years to include artists from a wider range of genres and backgrounds.
Artists become eligible for nomination 25 years after the release of their first commercial recording. So, those artists whose debuts came out in 2001 are newly-eligible this year.
The official induction ceremony will take place November 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. It will be recorded and be made available for streaming on ABC and Disney+ in December.
