Report: Two Women Testified Gaetz Paid Them For Sex

Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) doesn’t want the House Ethics Committee’s report on former Rep. Matt Gaetz released. Fine. We’ll do this without the committee’s report. A lawyer for two of the women who testified under oath before the House Ethics Committee, Joel Leppard, has come forward saying Gaetz paid both of his clients for sex.

During their testimony, Leppard says screen captures of the women’s Venmo accounts were projected on a screen as the women were asked what certain payments were for. And the women said they were pay-for-sex transactions. Leppard adds that one of his clients witnessed Gaetz having sex with a third woman – who was then 17 years old – at a house party in Florida. All of this comes as several of Gaetz’s fellow Republicans voice their disdain for the little toad. NBC News spoke to more than 15 additional Republican sources who agreed that there are not enough votes in the Senate to confirm Gaetz, and some estimated that closer to 30 Republicans consider him unqualified.
