President Trump decided to puff himself up a bit this morning by boasting about the number of his social media followers.
“The Fake News Media hates when I use what has turned out to be my very powerful Social Media – over 100 million people! I can go around them.”

Unless he is counting the fake accounts that troll for him, Trump is being less than truthful about his social media followers.
Adding up his followers from his two Twitter accounts (@realDonaldTrump and @potus) and two Facebook accounts, his social media totals about 75 million followers.
realdonaldtrump: 32.4 million
POTUS: 18.8 million
Donald Trump: 22.4 million
POTUS: 1.7 million
Total: about 75.3 million, not 100 million.
The citizens of Twitter Land were more than happy to weigh in:
The Circuit Courts love your Tweets. When they ban your policies, you literally help write their opinions for them. Keep up the good work!

Safe to say the “fake news” loves your tweeting. It’s your staff, your lawyers and your allies in Congress who would like to see it end

The more @realDonaldTrump tweets, the less executive privilege the White House will be able to assert, if any by now. https://t.co/h7DyPNqXTJ

No, we really do love it. I’m sure the lawyers do, too. https://t.co/6Lmv2kO3az

You have 32.3 million followers. Katy Perry has 100 million followers. You’re not even 1/3 as popular as Katy Perry. For perspective.

No, we don’t hate it — it’s your staff that hate it. Please keep tweeting & blowing yourself up. https://t.co/QZuSHBJoRS
