New Calendar Time: The 2015 Warwick Rowers Calendar

The world famous Warwick Rowers

As you turn to the last page on your hunky guy calendar, it’s time to start thinking about the new year and a new calendar to give you that special ping as you start each day.

One of my favorite calendars for several years now, The Warwick Rowers, features the three things that makes for a “feel good” experience when you buy the calendar:

• Great photography
• Naked guys (tastefully shot, of course)
• Raising funds for a great charity

Their famous nude calendars have gone viral – featured on Good Morning America, E! News & Huffington Post; and the message (yes, there is a message) is to challenge homophobia and bullying in school and sports. Sales of the calendar raises funds for their charity Sport Allies.

The boys are currently on a promotional tour of the US and will make their Los Angeles debut at the premiere of their behind-the-scenes movie ‘Some like it Hotter’ on December 3rd at the Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills in LA at 7PM.

For entry, the boys ask for a donation ranging from $25-$75 which goes to their initiative, Sports Allies. Along with attendance, your donation can include the calendar itself, a welcome drink plus download the 2015 film and more. You can purchase tickets for the event here.

Warwick Rowers 2015 Calendar – The Story

Warwick Rowers celebrate the release of their 2015 Charity Calendar

This is the story of the Warwick Rowers, a bunch of college athletes who thought that maybe they could make a difference. They decided to do this by getting naked.

At first they did it to help their sports club, which had no funds. But what started as a bit of a laugh became a life-changing experience that none of them could have foreseen.

Since 2009, the calendar has been sold in 77 different countries and raised £200,000 for good causes. In addition to the calendars, the boys now have their own range of posters, t-shirts, art prints, hoodies, and greeting cards.

The Rower’s naked calendar is an annual event that helps raise funds to tackle homophobia in sport with proceeds going to Sport Allies program, which reaches out to young people suffering from bullying, homophobia and self-esteem issues.

Warwick Rowers tease 2015 Calendar pics

The rowers of Warwick Rowing Club get naked for charity calendar

For several years, members of Warwick University’s Rowing Club pose naked for a charity calendar. The proceeds go to help tackle homophobia in sport.

The 2014 calendar saw funds go to the Sport Allies programme, which helps young people who are victims of bullying, homophobia and self-esteem issues.

The rowers have already started teasing the 2015 calendar by leaking several pics on their Twitter account.

They’re back! Warwick Rowers 2014 Calendar preview

The Warwick Rowers Calendar is back to brighten your days and raise money for Sport Allies

Featuring genuine university athletes who have stripped off to brighten up your each and every day, the Warwick Rowers calendar guarantees a very enjoyable 2014 for everyone who buys it, with a strong possibility of a welcome surprise around the start of each month.

And this calendar won’t just be good news for you. As well as helping the students with their sport, it’s raising funds and awareness to support Sport Allies, a new program developed by the rowers themselves in partnership with a registered charity, Educational Action Challenging Homophobia.

Sport Allies is dedicated to challenging homophobia among young people. The rowers are predominantly straight men who have welcomed and embraced the fantastic support they have had from the gay community for their fundraising efforts. Sport Allies is their way of honoring that support and giving something back. The rowers will share with young people their own experience of learning to understand the challenges that others face, simply on the grounds of their sexuality, and how this has changed these athletes both as individuals and as a team.
