Ricky Martin & Darren Criss Teaser Promos For Upcoming “American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace”

FX is ramping up the promotion for the second season of Ryan Murphy’s true crime anthology, The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.

The second season of ACS will focus on the vicious shooting death of designer Gianni Versace on the steps of his Miami Beach mansion.

The cast couldn’t get much more A-List: Penelope Cruz as Donatella Versace,  Ricky Martin as Antonio D’Amico, Darren Criss as Andrew Cunanan, and Edgar Ramirez as Gianni Versace.

The first season of the series, The People v. O. J. Simpson, racked up 22 Emmy nominations and celebrated 9 wins including “Outstanding Limited Series.”

The network recently dropped two short promo videos.

The first features Ramirez relaxing poolside as Criss emerges from the water behind him. The cinematography is gorgeous.

And in a clip titled “Partner Preview,” Ricky Martin (who stars as Versace’s lover Antonio D’Amico) hears guns shots outside their fabulous Miami mansion and runs to investigate.

The home, which now operates as a boutique hotel, was the location for the entire series shoot.

Watch for American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace to debut on FX January 17.

Ricky Martin Talks About His Upcoming Gay Role On American Crime Story

Ricky Martin, Penelope Cruz, Darren Criss, and Edgar Ramirez recently gave interviews to Entertainment Weekly about the upcoming Ryan Murphy series The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story due to arrive in TV land in 2018.

Ricky portrays Versace’s longtime partner Antonio D’Amico. The role is the latin popstar’s first gay role and will feature his first gay sex scene.

Says Martin, “We’re going to go mainstream with a story that talks about homophobia, that talks about hate, that talks about indifference. I feel humbled. It’s so raw and honest and so dramatic and sad. But at the same time you show the love of Gianni and Antonio and 15 years of struggling, fighting. It’s something that I really wanted to be loud about.”

First Look: “American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace”

Entertainment Weekly has the first look at the followup to last year’s wildly successful mini-series by Ryan Murphy, The People v. O.J. Simpson.

American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace will star Edgar Ramírez as the murdered designer, Ricky Martin as Versace’s lover, GLEE’s Darren Criss as murderer Andrew Cunanan, and Penelope Cruz as Donatella Versace.

Due in early 2018.

Ricky Martin On Coming Out: “I’ve Been The Happiest Man Ever Since!”

Ricky Martin

CBS Sunday Morning profiled out and proud pop star Ricky Martin yesterday as he opens his new residency at the Monte Carlo in Las Vegas.

Ricky was particularly poignant when discussing the coming out process for him, and what kept him in the closet.

From the segment:

“I was afraid of rejection, ’cause unfortunately, first of all, for many years everyone, a lot of people told me that my feelings were evil — ‘What you’re feeling is not godly.’ If I’m feeling this, I’m not a good person.

“No more of that. I’m a good person. And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with me. No. No. Enough. Not more of that. And I’ve been the happiest man ever since!”

Watch the segment below.

Handsome hubby Michael and I attended the official opening of DSQUARED2’s new store in Las Vegas on Thursday.

The men of DSQUARED2 – Dean and Dan Caten – are not only hot fashion designers today but also designed all the costumes for Ricky Martin’s ALL IN residency at the Monte Carlo, which had it’s opening the night before.

The pop star hosted the new store’s opening and super talented photographer Denise Truscello snapped this pic of Michael with the very easy on the eyes Mr. Martin.

Las Vegas: Ricky Martin Opens ALL IN Residency At Monte Carlo

Ricky Martin opened his new residency All In at the Monte Carlo in Las Vegas last night where Ricky and the audience were seriously “Livin La Vida Loca!”

Great, high energy throughout the show; Ricky looked like a million bucks (costumes by DSQUARED2 designers Dean and Dan Caten); and I loved the aerial couples (mixed and same-sex) during “She’s All I Ever Had.”

Ricky Martin Gets Engaged

The Ellen Show’s audience were the very first to hear the news that Ricky Martin is engaged!

The world-famous singer told Ellen about his new fiancé, artist Jwan Yosef, and how they first met.

“He’s a conceptional artist and I’m a collector so I started looking for art and I saw his art and I went crazy because I really love what he does. Really original,” Martin said. “And then I contacted him.”

He then went on to talk about his two children, Matteo and Valentino, and his newly announced residency at the new Park Theater at Monte Carlo in Las Vegas beginning early next year.

Ricky Martin Confirms New BF Jwan Yosef – “Yup”

While Ricky Martin hasn’t previously confirmed that he’s seeing Swedish artist Jwan Yosef, I’m guessing the “Yup” caption on this pic from Brazil is his casual way of sharing the news.

Martin has been spotted all over the globe with Yosef, from Japan to Malibu to New York to Puerto Rico in recent weeks.
