Pat Robertson: Did a coach molest your son?

Pat Robertson tells a mother whose son recently came out to ask if a coach molested him.

A mother writes in to The 700 Club to ask Pat Robertson’s advice in handling her son who recently came out to her.

I love how Pat Robertson immediately jumps to the idea that perhaps “a coach molested” the boy…?

Why people today still write in for Pat Robertson’s advice is probably a question for the ages, considering he’s been here that long.

Pat Robertson loses in battle to keep anti-gay “AIDS ring” video off the internet

From Right Wing Watch:

Two weeks ago, the Christian Broadcasting Network tried to cover up remarks made by Pat Robertson, the founder of CBN and host of its flagship show the 700 Club, about how he believes gay men wear special rings that cut the hands of people they meet in order to infect them with HIV/AIDS.

CBN not only had the video we posted of Robertson’s comments removed from YouTube by complaining that it violated copyright laws, but also edited the comments out of its own broadcast of the show.

We reposted our video elsewhere, but CBN also had it removed from websites such as Vimeo and Dailymotion.

We filed a counterclaim with YouTube asserting that our video was protected by Fair Use and yesterday we finally received word that our video had been restored:

But the episode reveals the lengths CBN will go to hide and censor the statements made by its own leader. Now, the network is even considering legal action against a documentary critical of Robertson.

Pat Robertson: Gays use special rings to infect people with AIDS

SRSLY?

A question was asked during Pat Robertson’s TV Show “The 700 Club” about the possibly of being infected with AIDS by driving an elderly man with the disease to Sunday services at church.

From The 700 Club:

“You know what they do in San Francisco? Some of the gay community there, they want to get people. So, if they’ve got the stuff, they’ll have a ring. You shake hands and the ring’s got a little thing where you cut your finger,” Robertson said in the video. “Really. I mean it’s that kind of vicious stuff, which would be the equivalent of murder.”

Not only does Robertson assert that infected gays walk around San Francisco with special, sharp rings meant to cut and infect people with AIDS, but he says the “homosexual community” has put draconian laws in place to keep anyone from discussing HIV/AIDS….?

The comments were edited out for the TV show website version of the clip.

With a straight face, Pat Robertson denies he is anti-gay

From Right Wing Watch we get the news that Pat Robertson is disturbed that people, for whatever reason, might believe that he is somehow anti-gay.

After all, how could blaming gays for 9/11, warning that gay rights will destroy America, using anti-gay slurs, linking homosexuality to pedophilia and disease and saying that Facebook should create a ‘vomit’ button specifically for pictures of gay couples POSSIBLY make someone seem anti-gay?

Well, following a story on the Exodus International head Alan Chambers’ decision to shut down the ex-gay ministry, Robertson insisted that “we are not anti-gay.”

Pat Robertson says he’d like a “Vomit” button on Facebook for same-sex couples

Responding to a viewer who wondered whether it was sinful to “Like” Facebook photos of same-sex couples, Pat Robertson said that Facebook needs a “Vomit” button for such pictures:

“You’ve got a couple of same-sex guys kissing, do you like that? Well that makes me want to throw up. To me I would punch ‘Vomit’ not ‘Like’ but they don’t give you that option on Facebook,” he said.

This man used to be a ‘leader’ to some folks???

Pat Robertson: Gays can change just like rapists can…

“It is a hate crime to say somebody can change their sexual preference? … Anybody who has ministered to thousands of people…know very well that the power of God can change people’s orientation. A murderer can change. A rapist can change. A thief can change. That’s what the Gospel is about. It’s not a hate crime.” – Pat Robertson

Seriously?…

Pat – you gotta go there?

Pat Robertson on David Petreaus: “He’s a man”

The icky chuckle at the :25 mark is just a bit creepy for me.

I’m curious where Pat Robertson sees the sanctity of marriage in all this.

Text of Robertson’s comment: “He described Broadwell as an “extremely good-looking woman” who is a “marathon runner, she’d run Iron Man triathlons and so she’s out running with him, and she’s writing a biography,” and Petraeus simply couldn’t help himself: “The man’s off in a foreign land and he’s lonely and here’s a good-looking lady throwing herself at him. He’s a man.”
