New music video: From Ylvis “Massachusetts”

From Ylvis, who brought us the fab viral video “What Does The Fox Say?” we now get “Massachusetts.” A huge, sprawling goulash of pop music styles in a video that COULD be a tourism ad (if it weren’t for some questionable lyrics).

Poking fun at the first US state to legalize marriage equality, it’s sure to be another huge hit for Ylvis.

Perhaps NSFW unless you use earphones.

I laughed. I love these guys. Clever and they can find a catchy hook.

Video: “Rambo, But Gay”

A funny gay, musical version of the uber-macho Stallone film “Rambo.”

From the creators: Sure there’s blood in guts in this Rambo from Michael Serrato and Mark Byers, but in this musical version the audience is asked to reexamine what it is to be a man and what it is to be manly. This post DOMA tinkering of war veteran, John Rambo is hopefully just the first exploration of “Manly, But Gay” that Serrato and Byers get to tell.

I thought the music and lyrics were pretty clever. I hope to see more from Michael and Mark.

This may be the new way to workshop musicals. Who knows?

Parody of Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” video from New Zealand

New Zealand radio DJs create funny parody of Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" video

So, you have to be familiar with Miley’s version of the video (which I was not) to know why this is funny…

I didn’t even know the lyrics were rewritten right away 🙂

Whoever is singing sounds just like Miley.

From the radio DJs who made the video:

Jay-Jay, Mike & Dom (from New Zealand’s #1 radio station, The Edge) have gone and recreated the video in FULL GLORY – yes, nude everything (well, apart from Mike – who refused to take it all off, we don’t blame him!).

Fox News host quotes fake news story on President Obama and

Imagine how dumb this Fox News host must feel…

Fox and Friends host Anna Koolman was discussing the closure of the World War II memorial in Washington during the shutdown Saturday, and claimed “President Obama has offered to pay out of his own pocket for the museum of Muslim culture” while allowing the memorial to remain shuttered.

Problem is – Anna reads can’t tell the difference between “real news” and parody. The story actually came from the parody news site National Report.

Of course, this just gives even more credence to the fact that Fox and Friends doesn’t know what they are talking about – truth or fiction. All the same to them.

Parody: The Daily Show reports on the “rampant bullying” of Christians by the LGBT community

The Daily Show’s Samantha Bee shines a hilarious light on bigoted and bullying Christians suffering from the sting of bigotry and bullying.

Not.

Video: “Open Your Mouth”

Lance Bass, the Village People, Susan Boyle, Wynonna Judd and Tiffany are just a few of the “interesting” names Miracle Whip has gathered together for a parody of the “We Are the World” video in which they sing with mock sincerity about the processed spread.

My dad loved Miracle Whip. I’m a mayo guy. But don’t judge, kids. There’s room for all kinds of spread in the world.
