Unveiling Of New Tesla Cybertruck Doesn’t Go As Planned ‘Oh My F*cking God!’

Things went a bit awry at the unveiling of Telsa’s futuristic Cybertruck in Los Angeles on Thursday. In an attempt to show the assembled crowd at the event how ‘bulletproof’ the windows on Tesla’s first pickup truck are, CEO Elon Musk asked his chief designer Franz Holzhausen to throw a metal ball at the driver’s side window. Unfortunately, the glass was smashed. Holzhausen tried again with the same cracked result. “Oh my fucking God, maybe that was a little too hard,” exclaimed Musk before adding, “It didn’t go through, it didn’t go through.” Production is expected to begin in late 2021.

Mark Ronson Apologizes For ‘Coming Out’ As Sapiosexual

Mark Ronson walks back his 'coming out'' as sapiosexual remarks

Mark Ronson walks back his 'coming out'' as sapiosexual remarks Academy Award-winning musician/producer Mark Ronson raised some eyebrows last week when he announced on Good Morning Britain that he was coming out as ‘sapiosexual.’ According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, ‘sapiosexual‘ is a term that means “sexually attracted to highly intelligent people.” It does not refer in any way to the gender of those you may be attracted to. Apparently, the Oscar-winning music producer was backstage at GMB when an expert spoke on the subject prior to his appearance. After discussing the term, which he’d never heard before, he felt he identified as sapiosexual. So, when he was asked about the word on-air, he admitted, “Yes, I feel like I am identifying as sapiosexual.” The show’s host, Ben Shephard, congratulated Ronson on ‘coming out as sapiosexual’ and Ronson declared, “Out and proud on Good Morning Britain.” But by using the phrase ‘coming out’ some felt Ronson was diminishing the prejudice experienced by the LGBTQ community. And folks took to the Twitters:

On Wednesday night, during an interview with Rolling Stone, the hit songwriter (“Shallow,” “Uptown Funk”) clarified that in the fast-moving environment of the British morning talk show, he spoke off the cuff without being fully informed about the term. “I do not consider myself part of any marginalized community and I apologize if anybody misunderstood or took offense to it,” he told Rolling Stone’s Patrick Doyle. He explained that when asked about the idea of being attracted to intelligent people, his first response was “That sounds great. Of course, who wouldn’t be?” But by the time he got back to his hotel in London, he saw it playing out on social media in a way he’d never imagined. “It sounds like I went on a TV show to be like, ‘Guys, I have some big news!’ And the fact that I would go on and sort of declare myself — like as a heterosexual white male — part of any marginalized community was  terrifying to me, or just embarrassing.” Ronson explained he thought folks would understand or that his comments would be put in context somehow. “But, that’s not what happens on Twitter anymore,” he concluded. Oops – Conservative Super-PAC Runs Ads Thanking GOP For Repealing Obamacare

Oops.

The Republican super-PAC, American Action Network, prematurely bought air time to congratulation House Republicans for keeping their promises to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act.

Except – as we all know – the House GOP failed to pass their own legislation yesterday.

In fact, there wasn’t even a vote.

NCAA basketball fans were probably confused when these ads ran in several markets last night.

This really is amateur hour, isn’t it?

Congressional Candidate Posts Screen Capture Including Open Porn Sites

Congressional candidate Mike Webb shares his taste in porn

Congressional candidate for the 8th District of Virginia raised eye-brows today when he posted a screen capture along with a post on his Facebook page.

He drew attention due to the fact that Webb failed to close a few tabs on his browser window before taking the screen capture. The first two browser tabs were open to porn sites.

From The Daily Caller:

Mike Webb initially ran as a Republican for the 8th District seat, which covers Arlington and Alexandria and is considered safely Democratic. He lost the nomination, though, and is now running as an independent, though he is, to say the least, unlikely to win.

Webb published a post on his campaign page Monday that included a screenshot of his computer desktop. And as it happened, Webb hadn’t bothered to close his pornography tabs when he took his screengrab.

“IVONE SEXY AMATEUR” may have a completely innocent meaning, but a quick Google search indicates the video is featured on RedTube and other very X-rated websites. Similarly, Layla Rivera is a porn star. Something about her is apparently tight, and it probably isn’t her relationship with her father.

Although folks in the media have noticed, after five hours the posts remains unchanged.

Wrong & Strong: Ball Boy Face-Plants Into Stadium Wall At Barcelona Open

Tough day at the office for this ball boy at the Barcelona Open yesterday.

After catching two balls, he sped back to his position with a bit too much gusto, face-planting into the stadium wall.

In theater, I like to call this being “wrong and strong.” If you’re going to “oops,” do it with conviction.

Check the kid out, though. He smiles and shrugs it off like a pro.

Fox News Accidentally Calls New Hampshire For Donald Trump

Fox News accidentally jumped the gun with a ready-made graphic showing Donald Trump winning the New Hampshire primary – at noon with the polls still open. Click the image above to enlarge.

It seems Fox was looking to predict a Trump win with 28%, followed by Sen. Marco Rubio at 12% and Sen. Ted Cruz at 11%.

Fox News issued this “oopsie” after the graphic was taken down:

“During routine testing in preparation for the New Hampshire primary a malfunction occurred which briefly showed errant data on our website,” Fox News Chief Digital Officer Jeff Misenti said in a statement. “This error has been rectified. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.”
