Out singer/songwriter and shirtless hottie Steve Grand has released two new singles: “Time” (from his upcoming album) and a cover of the Elton John classic “Bennie and the Jets” which Grand says was just for fun.
After a spectacular crowd sourcing campaign on Kickstarter (started with $81K goal, went on to raise over $320,000!!!), some fans had been getting antsy about no new music since the funding closed on March 30th and he had initially announced delivery of the album around July 2014.
Here’s hoping this calms the fans until the full album comes out some time next year.
Late this past summer, Grand also treated his fans to a naked lake dip video for the popular ALS Ice Bucket challenge 🙂
You’ll recall Grand became a hot poster boy for out musicians in July of 2013 with his terrific (shirtless) debut music video “All-American Boy.”

Set for a November 4th release, Bette Midler’s newest album – It’s The Girls! – is a tribute album to the girl groups who have inspired the Divine Miss M over the years.
“A long time ago I fell in love with voices in harmony,” Midler said in a press release. “In particular, the sound of female voices singing together. There were so many great girl groups in those days, I still listen as avidly as I ever did. This record is a small attempt to honor them for all the joy they brought to me and the world.”
The new collection will feature 15 classic tracks by famous girl groups including the Ronettes, the Supremes, TLC, and the Chiffons, among others.

The British acts Clean Bandit & Jess Glynne have released the video for their infectious new single, “Real Love,” produced by Jack Patterson (Clean Bandit). “Real Love” is the newest single from the upcoming debut album for Clean Bandit, New Eyes.
The track has already had over 1.6 million audio plays and was honoured as “Track of the Day” on BBC’s Radio 1 last week.
The video features straight and same-sex couples sharing their Real Love with the video audience, plus in concert footage from the band’s LA gig at the El Rey Theatre.
Grace Chatto of Clean Bandit said this about the video: “We made this video whilst on the road touring for the first time in North America. The tour was a brilliant experience, which makes this video even more special.”

Following hot on the heels of yesterday’s news that Culture Club is releasing new music, 80s British hit makers Spandau Ballet have released a new “greatest hits” collection – “The Story, The Very Best Of Spandau Ballet” – which includes three new tracks: “This Is the Love,” “Steal,” and “Soul Boy.”
The iconic 80s band sold over 25 million records, scored numerous multi-platinum albums and amassed 23 hit singles across the globe since their humble beginnings as a group of friends with dreams of stardom in the late 1970s.
After a 20 year hiatus, the band reformed in 2009, embarking on a sold-out tour.
