Joe Manganiello wants Matt Bomer on “True Blood”

Matt Bomer and Joe Manganiello

Most people know that Joe Manganiello and Matt Bomer are two of TV’s sexiest men. But few are aware that they were college roommates.

The two men became buddies while rooming together at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh (Class of 2000).

They’ve remained close friends, and worked together on the highly anticipated male (Chippendales inspired?) film, Magic Mike.

Manganiello also appeared last month on Bomer’s hit series White Collar. Now the world’s sexiest werewolf wants to see his buddy suck some neck on True Blood.

“I think Matt would make a great vampire,” Manganiello told E! Online. “He’s got the suit thing going on. He’s got that sophisticated elegant thing going on.”

Bomer says he’s totally up for some fang banging.

“I’m Team Alcide all the way, “ he said, referring to Manganiello’s character. “But if I’m going to do a guest spot on True Blood, I wanna play a vampire.”

I would love to see Bomer appear on True Blood. BUT until then, look for his duet with Darren Criss on Glee, playing Blaine’s older brother.

Matt Bomer of “White Collar” comes out while accepting award

“White Collar” actor Matt Bomer was given the New Generation Arts and Activism Award from the Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards for his work in the fight again HIV/AIDS. In his acceptance speech, he said, “And I’d really especially like to thank my beautiful family: Simon, Kit, Walker, Henry. Thank you for teaching me what unconditional love is. You will always be my proudest accomplishment.”

The actor, who will soon guest as the brother of Darren Criss’s character on an episode of “Glee”, will also appear with George Clooney and Jesse Tyler Ferguson in the March 3 staged reading of Dustin Lance Black’s play “8″, which is adapted from transcripts of the landmark Proposition 8 trial that made same-sex marriage illegal.
