Matt Barber: Gays Literally Want To Kill Christians For Not Being Pagan

Virulently anti-gay Matt Barber, speaking on Liberty Counsel’s “Faith and Freedom” radio show abut the ongoing Kentucky County Clerk Kim Davis’ refusal to follow the law regarding same-sex marriage, declares that gays won’t be happy being equal. Barber says that gays literally will kill everyone who doesn’t embrace homosexuality.

At one point he compares the current campaign for LGBT rights to the Inquisition. Seriously.

From Right Wing Watch:

“This whole saga,” he said, “is reminiscent of the story of Sodom and Gomorrah in Genesis 19 … The homosexual men of Sodom and Gomorrah, they surrounded the house and they said, ‘Send them out’ and they pounded on the doors and there is this spirit of anger and lust. This white-hot hatred that we see levied toward Kim Davis and her family and Liberty Counsel right now … the attitude is we demand that you affirm our position, that you call evil good and good evil, that you go against your conscience and what the Bible teaches about sex and sexuality and the reality of marriage as being between a male and female. You must leave all that and come on board with our pagan sexuality or we will literally kill you.”

There’s so much in there that is so false it’s hard to even address. Needless to say, it’s a common tactic of the extreme right to flip the truth on it’s head to try and make their position sympathetic.

The truth is no one would care about Kim Davis if she treated gays and lesbians like everyone else. No one wants to deal with her other than get their marriage licenses, which is the law of the land today.

But Barber continues twisting the truth to the small number of folks who really just want to embrace the hate.

Conservative haters: Same-sex marriage will make straight couples less monogamous

Matt Barber and Mat Staver, on their “Faith and Freedom” radio show, took this bizarre serpentine chat that somehow asserts that legalizing gay marriage will somehow result in straight couples becoming less monogamous.

I didn’t realize I had such power!

From Right Wing Watch:

Staver argued that gay male couples are more likely to have open relationships, which they then used to bizarrely assert that letting gays get married would ultimately undermine the practice of monogamy within straight marriages.

“You start doing that in a marriage relationship with a man and a woman,” Staver said, “and the woman’s just not going to do it.”

“We know that women serve to domesticate men,” Barber added. “That’s not an opinion, that’s the social science that shows that women ultimately bring men into their role as father, as provider, and protector for the household and they domesticate men and that lends itself toward monogamy.”

It goes without saying that what each committed couple does – gay or straight – in the privacy of their own relationship is their own business. And many heterosexual couples engage in “open relationships” and more, like swinging, anal sex (!), and lots of practices that some very conservative folks might find of the beaten (and very vanilla) path when it comes to sex.

This isn’t a gay thing. It’s a privacy thing. And a “none of your business” thing.

Mostly, the idea that allowing same-sex couples equal rights to marriage will somehow force a hetero married man to go looking for sex outside his marriage is absurd.

But then, this is Matt Barber and Mat Staver…

Drama Queen Alert – Matt Barber

Matt Barber, writing for Barbwire, goes on a very dramatic diatribe about “homofascists” and “breaking out the long knives” over the recent debacle at Mozilla with Brendan Eich stepping down as CEO:

Sadly, many people, even many Christians, think that I and others are using hyperbole when we refer to this sexual anarchist “LGBT” movement as “homofascist” or the “Gaystapo.” I hope you’ll think again. It’s time to wake up and smell the impending anti-Christian persecution. It’s fully at hand.

Christians, buckle up. Your whole world is about to change. The Rainbowshirts are emboldened and they’ve broken out the long knives. “Therefore pride is their necklace; they clothe themselves with violence” – Psalm 73:6.

They smell blood in the water. I’ve often said that these folks want those who speak Biblical truth about human sexuality and legitimate marriage either 1) dead, 2) imprisoned or, if they can have neither of these, 3) marginalized to the point where they can’t even support their families.

Check No. 3 off the list. I guess they’re working backwards.

Freedom is hanging on by a thread, America, and it is those who worship the sin of Sodom that are determined to finish it off once and for all.

Matt Barber on Jason Collins’ “hero status” after coming out

In case you don’t see it very often, here’s an example of the kind of douche bag comments the “pro-marriage” anti-gay folks put out into the world in an effort to diminish LGBT rights.

This is Matt Barber writing for World Net Daily regarding NBA-er Jason Collins recent coming out:

“Collins had a girlfriend of eight years. In fact, they were engaged to be married before he dumped her. This would make him ‘bisexual,’ then, wouldn’t it?

“So – and bear with me here – if being “gay” makes him a hero, does being ‘bi’ make him a superhero? That. Is. Awesome! I don’t know: ‘Captain Switch-Hitter’? (Sorry for the mixed metaphor.)

“Then again, if he’s ‘bisexual,’ might that actually diminish his heroism? Would it make him only half a hero, or would it just cancel out altogether, making him ordinary again? It’s all so confusing.

“Seriously, I’d encourage the next pro athlete engaged in some other hitherto-considered-deviant-sexual-lifestyle to ride the wave. Who knows, in today’s ever-‘progressive’ culture, I could see President Obama awarding the Medal of Honor to the first polo player courageous enough to admit having a thing for his horse.”

Conservative owns his commitment to inequality of others

Big time anti-gay guy Matt Barber tweeted this pic out earlier today as a response to the pink HRC image that was adopted by millions during the SCOTUS Prop8/DOMA arguments.

As you’ll recall from elementary school math, that’s the “greater than” sign.

So while millions post an image of the “equal” sign saying all love is equal, Matt Barber is telling the world that his marriage is “greater than” mine.  And notice the use of the phrase “real marriage.”

Nice.

The marriage equality community doesn’t even have to break a sweat at this one as Barber makes transparent the feelings of hate/supremacy his kind has for the LGBT community.

Matt – you make our truth easier to understand with crap like this.   Hope you post it everywhere you can.

Romney supporters using 2008 Obama rally pic as 2012 Romney rally

This is actually kind of sad.

Anti-gay Romney supporter tweeted a pic of what he said was a HUGE Mitt Romney rally, trying to say the media isn’t covering Romney’s HUGE events.

Problem is – the pic is actually from a 2008 Obama rally…

Check it out at Good As You.
