Hockey Stud Sean Avery Stops The Internet With Naked Butt Shot

Hockey stud Sean Avery shows some naked butt on his Instagram account

Hockey stud Sean Avery stopped the internet with this pic on his Instagram account with the caption “Are u ready to #Sweat with me this Sat?”

I should mention that in addition to Avery’s obvious “assets,” he has been a staunch supporter for marriage equality for years.

Plus, in 2012 he joined the board of directors of Athlete Ally, a nonprofit organization focused on ending homophobia and trans-phobia in sports by educating those in the athletic community.

So, this post isn’t as gratuitous as you MIGHT have thought when you saw the pic.

But, can we talk about the pic…?

President Obama Publicly Disagrees With Kenyan President On LGBT Rights

President Obama, currently in Kenya, publicly disagreed with Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta at a press conference on the issue of LGBT rights.

Kenyatta called gay rights in his country a “non-issue.”

Obama had another opinion.

“If somebody is a law-abiding citizen who is going about their business, and working in a job, and obeying the traffic signs, and doing all the other things that good citizens are supposed to do and not harming anybody – the idea that they are going to be treated differently or abused because of who they love is wrong.”

“The idea that somebody is going to be treated differently because of who they love is wrong. Full stop.”

Afterward, President Kenyatta said, “There are some things that we must agree we don’t share. Our culture, our societies don’t accept [homosexuality].”

It is currently illegal to be gay in Kenya, and punishable with a maximum imprisonment of 14 years. Kenyan leaders had requested that President Obama not to discuss gay rights on his first trip to the country.

Watch the statement below. This is awesome.

Equality Act Introduced In Congress With Major Corporate Support

Today the Equality Act, a comprehensive federal LGBT rights bill, was introduced by Senators Jeff Merkley, Tammy Baldwin, Cory Booker, and Representative David Cicilline, has more than 140 cosponsors in the House, including Representative John Lewis, and at least 39 in the Senate.

The Human Rights Campaign has already brought three major corporations on board.

STATEMENT BY APPLE – “At Apple we believe in equal treatment for everyone, regardless of where they come from, what they look like, how they worship or who they love. We fully support the expansion of legal protections as a matter of basic human dignity.”

STATEMENT BY THE DOW CHEMICAL COMPANY – “Dow applauds the introduction of the Equality Act and continues to support a comprehensive federal framework that ensures fairness and opportunity for everyone. Full inclusion of our LGBT colleagues and citizens is quite simply the right thing to do – for business and for society.”

STATEMENT BY LEVI STRAUSS & CO. – “Levi Strauss & Co. is proud to support the Equality Act. We have a long history of supporting LGBT equality, and the time has come in this country for full, federal equality for the LGBT community. Ensuring fairness in our workplaces and communities is both the right thing to do and simply good business.”

Each of the three major companies scored a perfect 100 on HRC’s annual Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a nationally recognized benchmark of LGBT inclusion in the workplace, and were recognized on HRC’s list of Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality in 2015.

“These remarkable companies have proven once again their tremendous leadership on behalf of LGBT Americans,” said HRC President Chad Griffin. “Time and again, these leaders of Corporate America have asked ‘what more can we do?,’ and each time they’ve stepped up to the plate and delivered. As the fight for full, federal equality enters a new chapter, I am tremendously thankful that we have these champions standing shoulder to shoulder with us.”

AirBNB Asks – “Is Mankind?”

Clip description:

Airbnb believes that every person in the world should feel like they can belong anywhere. That feeling is possible because of the kindness in our community–hosts who were once strangers, guests who became friends, the goodness we see in man, woman, and transkind.

Go see. Stay in their homes, hear their stories, understand their lives. Then share your experiences with us. Let’s celebrate moments of human kindness together. #Mankind

I should add that I’m an AirBNB host myself, renting out my Los Angeles townhouse via the short-term housing website.

Ben Cohen Launches New Fragrance For Men

Hunky, handsome retired rugby champ and LGBT ally Ben Cohen has launched his own fragrance, Ben Cohen For Men.

Because, let’s face it, don’t you want to know what he smells like?

Now, at least YOU can smell like him.

From Herald & Post:

“I never thought I’d be one day launching a fragrance, but here I am! And I’m glad I am.

“It has been a great journey doing this – from being approached by a company to launch my own fragrance, through to choosing a scent and then seeing the finished product.

“I really like the fragrance because the company that created it have delivered what I want – which is a fresh, woody and cirtrusy smell.

“In fact, I am using it all the time now – like water! Well, maybe not like water, but I do use it a lot.”

The 36-year-old’s new fragrance has been described on the Superdrug website as having a ‘fresh aroma that is both rugged but mellow, with top notes of citrus and an underlying woody scent it has been designed to appeal to men of all ages’.

And just to remind you… 🙂

Nick Jonas To Headline Pittsburgh Pride After Iggy Azalea Drops Out Days From Event

Exit the hater; enter the hunk.

Rapper Iggy Azalea dropped out yesterday as the headliner for Pittsburgh Pride in the Street over mounting criticism regarding racist and homophobic tweets published years ago before she was famous.

It looked like Pittsburgh Pride was in a tight spot, but LGBT ally, hunky KINGDOM star, and current “It” guy Nick Jonas rides in to the rescue.

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports:

“Nick had heard about Pittsburgh Pride in the media and called us on Tuesday and said he would like to come and perform,” said Gary Van Horn, president of presenting nonprofit Delta Foundation of

Pittsburgh, in a statement. “He has been a supporter of the LGBT community, and he wanted to make sure that the community and Pittsburgh had a Pride event that they could be proud of.”

“When I heard about the difficult position Pittsburgh Pride was in just days before their event, I knew I had to find a way to help,” said Mr. Jonas.

“I’m excited to do what I can to support the LGBT community in Pittsburgh, and I look forward to seeing you this Saturday as we celebrate together.”

Tony Perkins Applauds Franklin Graham Over Boycott Of LGBT-Friendly Companies

Hate group leader Tony Perkins

In light of Rev. Franklin Graham’s statement yesterday calling for a boycott of major corporations who show support for the LGBT community, hate group leader Tony Perkins sent this out to his followers:

“Wells Fargo may be the first American bank to feature a lesbian ad — but it may also be the last.

“The outrage over these in-your-face commercials is finally reaching a boiling point with consumers, who are sick and tired of watching companies pitch agendas over products. American powerhouses like General Mills, Tiffany & Co., Amazon, Starbucks, Tylenol, Target, Nabisco, Alaska Airlines, and even Betty Crocker are tripping over themselves to pander to 2.3% of the buying public with intense LGBT advocacy.

“Like us, Rev. Franklin Graham has had enough. In response to Wells Fargo’s new ad, the son of evangelist Billy Graham is making an enormous withdrawal: his ministry’s accounts.

“On Facebook, Franklin challenged Christians to take a long, hard look at where their money is going. Are your dollars financing the war on your values? If so, maybe it’s time to do something about it.”

The great irony in all this is Graham moved his bank accounts from Wells Fargo (longtime LGBT ally) to BB&T, which will be sponsoring the Miami Beach Gay Pride Parade and has an 80% approval rating on the Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index.
