The creators of an upcoming sci-fi film ask the question: “Ever wondered what it might look like if a science fiction film presented LGBT people the way it should be done? Credence will be the first Sci-Fi of its kind to challenge the way gay characters are portrayed in film.”
Synopsis:
Credence tells the story of a family torn apart during the last evacuation on earth after violent storms have made survival impossible.
Hope has been found in the form of new worlds that support human life, however due to limited rocket capacity and life expectancy only children are permitted to evacuate, and even then – only the rich have ended up getting tickets.
Credence follows 2 fathers’ decision to make the ultimate sacrifice to give up all their possessions to ensure the survival of their daughter, and the entire human race.
You can help support the making of Credence at Indiegogo.
I’ve known the Tony Award nominated actress for more than a decade and like a fine wine, she just gets better and better. I was lucky to do the CHICAGO the Musical thing with Brenda many times. Most recently we played in the CHICAGO sandbox last summer in Sacramento where she stopped the show night after night starring as “Velma Kelly.” Sings like a dream; dances like a demon; and can I say “funnnnnnny?”
In addition to her appearances on Broadway in Smokey Joe’s Cafe, CHICAGO, Cats, Dreamgirls and more, she is the founder and owner of BBRAXTON: Exceptional Grooming for Exceptional Men, a men’s grooming salon in New York City.
The salon is the first of its kind and occupies 2,000 sq. ft. of storefront in one of the city’s first “green” luxury high rise condominiums. The salon complements this evolution by providing the atmosphere of a traditional gentlemen’s club, barber shop and new age spa; offering services such as hot towel straight razor shave, hair cuts and hair styling, body massage and integrated skin care. Patrons can catch up on the news, style trends, watch sports or relax and listen to R&B or Jazz music streams.
BBraxton is now getting ready to launch it’s own product line. And Miss Brenda is running an IndieGoGo campaign to help raise funds for the product launch. Here’s a link to the campaign – I’m going to ask you to please go take a look.
I’m a fan of crowdfunding on The Randy Report, and I’m a big fan of Brenda’s.
Everyone has a dream of some kind; and everyone can use a little help reaching for that dream.
Maybe you saw Brenda on Broadway. Maybe you always wanted to start your OWN salon. Or maybe you wanted to see whatever dream YOU had get a boost.
Just thought I’d ask folks to take a look. If you have it, if you’d like to be a part of helping someone else’s dream – pledge a few bucks. I did.
Remember the old saying “Do unto others…”
If you ever wanted someone to help you out, maybe this is how you pay it forward.

New Indiegogo project from my dear friend Roy Bean:
After several readings and revisions of “The Man Diet” and with the support of many wonderful friends, teachers and colleagues I’ve decided to become a producer, surround myself with an amazing cast and crew, and make a movie.
And with people like Christine Bokhour, Ann Cooley, Taylor Hooper, Brian Howard, Michael Lawrence, Mark Ledbetter, Raymond J. Lee, Robert Matteau, Ryan N. Phillips, Sarah Rigney, Marissa Rosen, Marty Thomas, Nicole E. Velez and more to come… we can’t go wrong.
Synopsis:
JACOB runs a shelter, HELP+U. Although he does great work for the community by day, he has just found out he has an unfortunate reputation in the community by night.
Out for dinner with MARGOT, WILLIAM, and BRANDON, Jacob is inspired – he’s going to go on a “man diet.” No carbs, no fat, no men. His friends are incredulous that he can last, so they challenge him to a bet.
As fate would have it Margot hires, as the new Volunteer Coordinator, DANIEL, a simple, easy going guy. Daniel is immediately attracted to Jacob, but has no idea what is in store for him.
Roy is terrifically talented, and I have no doubts this will be a fab film.
