The day after Merriam-Webster officially added “throw shade” to the dictionary, Hillary Clinton trolls Donald Trump with classic “shade” regarding the 3-0 thumping he received from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Hillary Clinton On Elizabeth Warren: “She Persisted. So Must We All.”

| Hillary Clinton |
Hillary Clinton chimed in today on last night’s Senate skirmish regarding Sen. Elizabeth Warren.
As I earlier reported, Warren was called out and silenced by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell through the use of arcane Senate rule XIX.
Warren had attempted to read a letter from Coretta Scott King to the Senate regarding the confirmation of Jeff Sessions for a judgeship back in 1986. McConnell decided the language in the letter constituted “impugning” the character of Sessions, who was being considered for Attorney General.
Later, Warren stepped into a hallway outside the Senate and read the letter in full for her Facebook page.
Today, Clinton took to Twitter to remark, “She was warned. She was given an explanation. Nevertheless, she persisted. So must we all.”

Hillary Clinton: “I Stand With The People”
In a rare public statement since the presidential election, Hillary Clinton expressed her support for those opposed to President Trump’s ill-conceived executive order banning immigration from Muslim-majority nations.
“I stand with the people gathered across our country tonight defending our values & our Constitution. This is not who we are.”
Facebook: “Symbolism Matters. Perseverance Matters.”
I’m just gonna leave this here.
Because. It’s. True.
Via Facebook:
Can we talk about this for a minute?
This is a Yale-educated law professor, First Lady, Senator, and Secretary of State who:
-Endured 25 years of smear campaigns
-Lost the Electoral College by 80,000 votes
-Won the popular vote by 3 million votes
-Attended her opponent’s inauguration
-Received no handshake from Trump
-Was booed by the crowd when she appearedAnd goddammit… LOOK at her. Polished and confident, wearing white for the Suffragettes, her husband taking *her* arm instead of the other way around.
Symbolism matters.
Perseverance matters.
She matters.
This is the godmother of New America, a rational, pragmatic, imperfect human being who was born 50 years too early for her gender to be a non-issue in an election.
While she missed the presidency, she arrived just in time to show us all, in unflinching terms, the deep undercurrent of sexist double standards in our society.
And in doing so, she taught generations of girls and women that yes, you DO matter and yes, you CAN do anything.
This is Hillary Clinton.
Hillary Clinton Receives Several Standing Ovations At Broadway’s THE COLOR PURPLE
My Broadway tribe 🙂
From the New York Times:
Hillary Clinton, who has kept a relatively low public profile since losing the presidential election two months ago, on Sunday showed up at the final performance of the Broadway revival of “The Color Purple,” reveling in the story of a beleaguered woman who triumphs over the oppressive men in her life (and, along the way, discovers a love for colorful pants).
Mrs. Clinton, accompanied by her husband, former President Bill Clinton, and their daughter, Chelsea, received several ovations from the sold-out audience as she arrived, and then another round of applause when she was acknowledged by the cast after the show.
“There’s a lot of really awesome famous and notable people here today,” the actress Patrice Covington, who gave the farewell speech on behalf of the cast after the show, said to the audience. “I’m not going to call all of them out — I know you already know them,” she said, before pausing, looking in Mrs. Clinton’s direction, and waving at her mischievously. At that, the audience erupted into a new, loud round of applause.
The reaction was substantially warmer than the scattered booing and clapping that greeted the arrival of Vice President-elect Mike Pence when he attended “Hamilton,” just one block north, on Nov. 18.
“We love you Hillary,” some audience members shouted. Several thanked Mrs. Clinton and told her, “God bless you.”
“God bless you,” Mrs. Clinton replied.

Hillary Clinton For New York City Mayor?
According to the New York Daily News, Hillary Clinton did not rule out a run for mayor of New York City when asked in recent private conversations.
Current Mayor Bill de Blasio has known and worked with the Clintons for for years, but his initial reluctance to endorse Hillary for president didn’t sit well with her camp.
De Blasio’s term ends at the end of this year, and no high-profile Democrat has weighed in as a challenger.
Personally, I can’t see her jumping back into a campaign so soon after her second loss in presidential politics.
Plus, she would have to move from her comfortable home in Chappaqua, NY, should she win. State law requires candidates for mayor to live within the five boroughs of the city by Election Day.
She would, however, be breaking one of those famous “glass ceilings.” The Big Apple has thus far never had a female mayor.
Hillary Clinton Will Attend Donald Trump Inauguration
Now, this is a lesson in class.
USA Today is reporting that just two months after a surprise loss in the presidential election, Hillary Clinton will attend the Jan. 20 inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump.
An aide to the Democratic nominee confirmed Tuesday that she and former president Bill Clinton will attend this month’s ceremony, speaking on condition of anonymity until plans are announced publicly.
It will be the first joint public appearance by Trump and Hillary Clinton since the three presidential debates that preceded Trump’s surprise election victory.
Bill Clinton will be one at least three ex-presidents at the Jan. 20 inauguration of Trump; George W. Bush and Jimmy Carter have also announced plans to attend.
Bush and former first lady Laura Bush “are pleased to be able to witness the peaceful transfer of power — a hallmark of American democracy,” spokesman Freddy Ford said Tuesday.
According to New York Magazine, Hillary decided to attend out of “a sense of duty and respect for the American democratic process.”
Trust and believe, had Trump lost he wouldn’t have gone anywhere near the event.
Gallup Poll: President Obama And Hillary Clinton Named “Most Admired”
President Barack Obama was again named the man most Americans admire in Gallup’s annual poll. He has been on the top of the list every year since 2008.
Obama also currently enjoys an unusually high approval rating, 56%, for an outgoing president.
Hillary Clinton was the woman Americans most admired for the 15th year in a row.
From Politico:
In second place was his successor, Donald Trump, favored by 15 percent.
Others in the top 10 included Pope Francis in third place and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders in fourth, followed by the Rev. Billy Graham in fifth. Bill Clinton tied for sixth place with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Dalai Lama and Bill Gates, while Vice President-elect Mike Pence came in 10th.
Asked to name the woman they most admire, 12 percent of Americans polled by Gallup chose Hillary Clinton, who has come in first in the poll 21 times, a record. First lady Michelle Obama came in second, at 8 percent.
Hillary Clinton Thanks Her 66 Million Supporters
Hillary Clinton thanked her 66 million supporters yesterday and urged them to continue working for a “better, stronger, and fairer future” for America and the world.
Before this year ends, I want to thank you again for your support of our campaign. While we didn’t achieve the outcome we sought, I’m proud of the vision and values we fought for and the nearly 66 million people who voted for them.
I believe it is our responsibility to keep doing our part to build a better, stronger, and fairer future for our country and the world.
The holidays are a time to be thankful for our blessings. So let us rejoice in this season and look forward with renewed hope and determination.
I wish you and your family health, happiness, and continued strength for the New Year and the work ahead. I look forward to staying in touch in 2017. Onward!
With deep appreciation and warm wishes, I am,
Yours,
Hillary
Trump Joins Russian President In Trashing Hillary Clinton
Placing his ego ahead of the country, President-elect Trump took to Twitter to agree with Russian President Putin on trashing Hillary Clinton.
From The Washington Post:
President-elect Donald Trump late Friday publicly praised Russian President Vladimir Putin for attacking Trump’s former Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton. In a striking statement that seems to further align Trump with Putin, the incoming U.S. president tweeted that he agreed with the Russian leader’s assessment that Clinton and the Democratic Party generally have not shown “dignity” following widespread loses in the November election.
“So true!” Trump tweeted of Putin’s comments, apparently referencing statements the Russian made at his year-end news conference. Trump’s expressed admiration of Putin came only hours after he released to the media a warm letter the Russian sent him. The Friday night tweet sparked cries of alarm from former U.S. officials and other Trump critics on social media.
Michael McFaul, a former U.S. ambassador to Russia under President Obama, tweeted Friday night that Trump’s praise of Putin was “unprecedented.” Evan McMullin, a Republican former CIA operative who ran unsuccessfully against Trump as an independent candidate, called Friday night for Republican leaders to condemn Trump’s “alliance” with Putin.
Trump is so eager to accept any sense of praise that he doesn’t see he’s being played by Putin. #sad
