Melissa McCarthy killed it again last night on Saturday Night Live as White House press secretary “Sean Spicer” in the cold open.

It’s interesting to me that President Trump, who we’ve heard was not amused by the impersonation last week by McCarthy, hasn’t chimed in via Twitter yet.

The Washington Post reports on the growing pushback on the nomination of billionaire Betsy DeVos for Secretary of Education.
Over 300 lawmakers from all 50 states have announced they oppose DeVos for the position, in great part because she has no experience in education.
Labor unions, civil rights leaders and advocates for children with disabilities have all joined the growing chorus of naysayers.
In addition to her lack of experience as an educator, she has no training or degrees in the area of education. She’s worked for years to undermine public schools in favor of a voucher system that would allow parents to take public school money and shift that to private, for-profit schools.
And, of course, we all know the millions she and her family have donated to anti-LGBT groups like the Family Research Council.
After her confirmation hearing, I noted that I found her disingenuous smile to be smug and grating. It looks like I wasn’t the only one.

Trae Crowder, everyone’s favorite “Liberal Redneck,” took a moment to thank President Obama, “everybody’s gun-hating Muslim from Kenya,” for “pissing off sh*tty white people.”

“I loved his message, his ideas — he was different, he was young, he was cool, he was funny,” Crowder said. “Most importantly of all, to me, he was an unparalleled expert at pissing off sh*tty white people.”
Crowder considers himself a connoisseur of the art of pissing off sh*tty white people, saying he likes to sit around in a Colin Kaepernick jersey listening to the Dixie Chicks and watching YouTube videos of Tim Tebow’s failures.
“When it comes to pissing off sh*tty white people, Barack Hussein Obama is a first-ballot hall-of-famer,” Crowder said. “He changed the game. Ain’t nobody done it like he done it — nobody.”
