The Warwick Rowers Calendar is back to brighten your days and raise money for Sport Allies
Featuring genuine university athletes who have stripped off to brighten up your each and every day, the Warwick Rowers calendar guarantees a very enjoyable 2014 for everyone who buys it, with a strong possibility of a welcome surprise around the start of each month.
And this calendar won’t just be good news for you. As well as helping the students with their sport, it’s raising funds and awareness to support Sport Allies, a new program developed by the rowers themselves in partnership with a registered charity, Educational Action Challenging Homophobia.
Sport Allies is dedicated to challenging homophobia among young people. The rowers are predominantly straight men who have welcomed and embraced the fantastic support they have had from the gay community for their fundraising efforts. Sport Allies is their way of honoring that support and giving something back. The rowers will share with young people their own experience of learning to understand the challenges that others face, simply on the grounds of their sexuality, and how this has changed these athletes both as individuals and as a team.
So please support the rowers and their efforts by visiting WarwickRowers.org, where you will be able to purchase calendars, greeting cards, films, and digital downloads.
Do you like game shows for the “winning excitement?” Let’s cut right to the chase.
Just graduated from Columbia Law School, this grad is already able to pay off his student loans.
Andrew Kravis is a public interest lawyer about to start a fellowship at Lambda Legal, the nation’s oldest and largest legal organization working for LGBT civil rights. He was honored upon graduating from CLS as one of two students “who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in the furtherance of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender rights.”
Last night, he dramatically won $2.6 million on NBC’s new show “Million Second Quiz.” The winnings were originally about $2.3 million, but Ryan Seacrest just rounded it up to make it a record win!
I don’t know if Andrew is gay or just gay friendly, but this was pretty cool to watch.
Well, I guess you could have seen this one coming from One Million Moms (who are really more like ‘less than 60K’):
Last week’s issue of People Magazine had the most disgusting ad on the inside front cover that we have ever seen Kraft produce. A full 2-page ad features a n*ked man lying on a picnic blanket with only a small portion of the blanket barely covering his g*nitals. It is easy to see what the ad is really selling. A person has to look closely to see the item the company is marketing because the salad dressing bottle is so small next to the male model, picnic basket and other food items. There is also a small Kraft logo in the upper corners with the words “Silverware Optional – Let’s Get Zesty.” The website getmezesty.com is listed in the bottom corner.
Kraft has gone too far and will push away loyal, conservative customers with this new ad campaign. Christians will not be able to buy Kraft dressings or any of their products until they clean up their advertising. The consumers they are attempting to attract – women and mothers – are the very ones they are driving away. Who will want Kraft products in their fridge or pantry if this vulgarity is what they represent? One Million Moms cannot get over the gall of this company. It is unnecessary for Kraft to use s*x to sell salad dressing!
I think the ad is cute and fun, personally. I feel the need to get “zesty” already.
And by the way, if you click here you can send a Zestygram! I made this one for my husband Michael and sent to him via Twitter. Lots of options and fun for a diversion 🙂
