Who Likes Hunky French Firemen?

Just checking, but I’m not the only one who think firemen are way hot, right?

Credit French photographer Fred Goudon for this uber-sexy 2016 charity calendar featuring hunky, handsome (and almost naked) French firefighters.

Proceeds from the sales of the calendar will go to the charity Pompiers Sans Frontières, a French organization that provides humanitarian aid.

“For me and for many others, firefighters are heroes. Every single day, these guys are out there saving people’s lives,” Goudon told The Local. “And they’re all so nice, so strong… and you can see it in the pictures that there is a kind of pride in them that others don’t have.”

Rhode Island Supreme Court Throws Out Firefighters’ Lawsuit Over Driving In Gay Pride Parade

In 2004, Providence firefighters Theodore Fabrizio and Stephen Deninno filed suit against the city of Providence, Rhode Island, for being assigned to drive a fire truck during an annual gay pride parade in 2001.

The men sued saying their constitutional rights were violated arguing that as practicing Roman Catholics they did not “support, encourage, nor condone homosexual behavior.”

Today, the Rhode Island Supreme Court issued their ruling.

Writing for the entire court, Justice William Robinson III called driving a fire truck in a parade a “legitimate work assignment” and said as public servants they were “relatively anonymous.”

“The respondents’ appearance in the parade, solely as members of the Providence Fire Department, did not constitute a form of expression on their part. Rather, it was simply the accomplishing of a task assigned to an engine company of the Providence Fire Department,” Robinson wrote.

Mainers United for Marriage – Firefighters on “Brotherhood”

Firefighters Andrew, Dave, Eric and Ryan talk about trust, respect and why they’re voting “Yes” on Question 1. They know marriage matters to ALL Maine families.

A recent survey from Public Policy Polling found 52% of likely voters in support, with 44% opposed and 4% undecided.

The Maine People’s Resource Center released a poll that showed 53% in support, 43% opposed and 4% undecided on Question 1 on the Nov. 6 ballot.

The ballot measure which repealed the law in 2009, also known as Question 1, passed 53% to 47%.

International Firefighters Day

Somehow, I missed the fact that Friday, May 4th, was International Firefighters Day!

How that happened I can’t begin to imagine, but I want to make sure I urge you all to thank a firemen for what they do.  They keep our communities safe and risk their lives doing it.

Happy belated International Firefighters Day!

Plus, who doesn’t like looking at firemen?
