Donald Trump Asks Supporters To “Raise Their Right Hand And Pledge” Their Support

At a rally in Florida on Saturday, Donald Trump asked his audience to raise their right hand and make “a pledge, a swearing” to support him.

This is looking very familiar to me. Let me think, let me think, “raise your hand and pledge support”…

Give me a second, it’ll come to me. Let’s see: divisive, racist, ego-maniac…

Who Wins In Donald Trump/Hillary Clinton Matchup?

The above image was shared via Instagram by hip-hop business magnate Russell Simmons.

And he’s right – even though Trump repeats that the polls show he would beat Hillary Clinton, he’s not being truthful.

Here’s a link to the Real Clear Politics page tracking polls that ask the question: “Who would you vote for in a head-to-head matchup of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump?”

Here’s the latest list of polls and average:

Donald Trump Explains “What Is 2+2?”

This started making the rounds on Facebook and I think it absolutely captures The Trumpster.

This is basically every speech he gives.

Via Facebook:

Donald Trump answers the question; What is 2+2?

“I have to say a lot of people have been asking this question. No, really. A lot of people come up to me and they ask me. They say, “What’s 2+2”? And I tell them look, we know what 2+2 is. We’ve had almost eight years of the worst kind of math you can imagine. Oh my god, I can’t believe it. Addition and subtraction of the 1s the 2s and the 3s. Its terrible. Its just terrible. Look, if you want to know what 2+2 is, do you want to know what 2+2 is? I’ll tell you. First of all the number 2, by the way I love the number 2. It’s probably my favorite number, no it is my favorite number. You know what, it’s probably more like the number two but with a lot of zeros behind it. A lot. If I’m being honest, I mean, if I’m being honest. I like a lot of zeros. Except for Marco Rubio, now he’s a zero that I don’t like. Though, I probably shouldn’t say that. He’s a nice guy but he’s like, “10101000101”, on and on, like that. He’s like a computer! You know what I mean? He’s like a computer. I don’t know. I mean, you know. So, we have all these numbers and we can add them and subtract them and add them. TIMES them even. Did you know that? We can times them OR divide them, they don’t tell you that, and I’ll tell you, no one is better at the order of operations than me. You wouldn’t believe it. That I can tell you. So, we’re gonna be the best on 2+2, believe me. Ok? Alright. Thank you.”

Donald Trump Flip-Flops On Torture/Killing Terrorists’ Families

At last night’s Republican debate Donald Trump was asked about his recent statements regarding torture, specifically saying he would do “worse” than torture and would want soldiers to kill terrorists’ families.

When Trump was informed by the moderator that that was straight up illegal according to international law and soldiers wouldn’t be able to follow such orders, Trump replied, “They won’t refuse. They’re not gonna refuse me. Believe me. I’m a leader, I’ve always been a leader. I’ve never had any problem leading people. If I say do it, they’re going to do it.”

Apparently that did not sit well at the Pentagon this morning. Military leaders get nervous about being ordered to break international laws.

So, this afternoon The Donald flip-flopped issued a statement clarifying that he would not order the U.S. military to violate international laws to fight terrorism.

From CNN:

Trump said in a statement that he understands “that the United States is bound by laws and treaties” and said he would “not order our military or other officials to violate those laws and will seek their advice on such matters.”

He added, “I will not order a military officer to disobey the law. It is clear that as president I will be bound by laws just like all Americans and I will meet those responsibilities.”

Donald Trump Defends The Size Of His Penis During #GOPdebate

I honestly can’t believe it’s devolved to this.

Last Sunday, Sen. Marco Rubio’s attacks on Donald Trump took a step on the wild side when during a campaign stop he addressed the size of Donald Trump’s hands.

“He’s always calling me Little Marco,” said Rubio last Sunday in Virginia. “And I’ll admit he’s taller than me. He’s like 6’2, which is why I don’t understand why his hands are the size of someone who is 5’2. And you know what they say about men with small hands? You can’t trust them.”

Last night, GOP front runner Trump took the time to assure the American public that there was was absolutely “no problem” with the size of his hands, or any other part of his anatomy.

“Look at those hands,” he said, raising them. “Are they small hands?”

“And, he referred to my hands — ‘if they’re small, something else must be small.’ I guarantee you there’s no problem. I guarantee.”

Donald Trump Cancels On CPAC Last Minute

Interesting that Donald Trump would cancel a speaking gig at the Conservative Political Action Conference at the last minute. The Trumpster was scheduled to speak at the conference on Saturday at 8:30am.

I’m guessing he’s feeling pretty confident about his candidacy that he can blow off the CPAC folks.

Or, maybe he’s feeling a bit burned from his disastrous showing at the Republican debate last night?

Perhaps it wasn’t a big enough crowd for him?

Here’s the announcement the Trump campaign sent to CPAC:

The Donald J. Trump for President Campaign has just announced it will be in Witchita, Kanasas for a major rally on Saturday prior to Caucus. He will also be speaking at the Kansas Caucus and then departing for Orlando, Florida and a crowd of approximately 20,000 people or more. Because of this, he will not be able to speak at CPAC as he has done for many consecutive years. Mr. Trump would like to thank Matt Schlapp and all of the executives at CPAC and looks forward to returning to next year, hopefully as President of the United States.

The CPAC peeps were not thrilled:

Donald Trump Responds To Mitt Romney Criticism

Speaking to supporters in Maine today, GOP presidential front-runner responded to 2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney’s criticisms of his campaign and bona fides.

It goes long – I’ll warn you. But to be fair, I’m posting this.

I think the most notable thing Trump does here is say that Romney wanted Trump’s endorsement so badly back in 2012 that, as The Donald said, “I could have said Mitt, ‘Drop to your knees’ and he would have dropped to his knees.”

I’m not sure if Trumpster was referring to a blowjob or begging…

Watch the remarks below.

Mitt Romney: “Donald Trump Is A Phony And A Fraud”

In a stunning speech, 2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney labeled Donald Trump a fake, a phony, a fraud who would make the United States poorer and less safe.

Romney also said of Trump, “His promises are as worthless as a degree from (now defunct) Trump University.”

He went on to attack Trump business expertise by pointing to his failed companies, “Whatever happened to Trump Airlines, Trump University, Trump magazine, Trump vodka, Trump Steaks, Trump mortgage?”

Romney called for Republicans to support the other three GOP nominees still in the hunt – Sens. Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and Ohio Gov. John Kasich.

It’s worth noting that in 2012, Romney sought and received Donald Trump’s endorsement for president.

The 2008 Republican presidential nominee, Sen. John McCain, issued a statement echoing Romney: “I share the concerns about Donald Trump that my friend and former Republican nominee Mitt Romney described in his speech.”

“I would also echo the many concerns about Mr. Trump’s uninformed and indeed dangerous statements on national security issues that have been raised by 65 Republican defense and foreign policy leaders,” continued McCain.

UPDATE – Other GOP presidential nominees chimed in after the speech:

The Christian Post: “Donald Trump Is A Scam”

The editors of The Christian Post, who have never taken a position on a political candidate, have published an op-ed unequivocally denouncing Republican front-runner Donald Trump.

Here’s just part of the essay:

We the senior editors of The Christian Post encourage our readers to back away from Donald Trump.

As the most popular evangelical news website in the United States and the world, we feel compelled by our moral responsibility to our readers to make clear that Donald Trump does not represent the interests of evangelicals and would be a dangerous leader for our country.

Trump claims to be a Christian, yet says he has never asked for forgiveness.

While God, in His wondrous creativity, has drawn people to Himself through the saving grace of Jesus Christ in many different ways, there are certain non-negotiable actions needed to become a Christian: One must repent of their sins and follow Christ as Lord and Savior. Trump doesn’t talk this way, even when urged to.

Further, his words and actions do not demonstrate the “fruit of the spirit.”

Trump is a misogynist and philanderer. He demeans women and minorities. His preferred forms of communication are insults, obscenities and untruths. While Christians have been guilty of all of these, we, unlike Trump, acknowledge our sins, ask for forgiveness and seek restitution with the aid of the Holy Spirit and our community of believers.

On Sunday, Trump’s apparent reluctance to disavow David Duke until late in the day was extremely distasteful. The Ku Klux Klan is an evil, unholy movement representing the worst of America. Anyone who will not immediately denounce their support is unfit to be president.

Trump claims he will “protect Christians.” We already have a Protector, and He is not Trump.

The op-ed goes on to note Trump’s many controversies and position flip-flops over the years.

Strong words, but will this change the trajectory of the race?
