After Donald Trump took aim at independent presidential candidate Evan McMullin, by referring to him as “McMuffin,” McMullin decided he would jump into the Twitterverse with the Donald.
“Our charming President-elect @realDonaldTrump has a new nickname for me: ‘McMuffin.’ I like it. Am I now on the hook to reciprocate?”
“I hear Egg McMuffins taste a lot better than the steaks at the Trump Grill. True Story?”

McMullin has been an outspoken critic of Trump since the election, while the president-elect has frequently called him “some guy” who was trying to beat him in Utah.
On Friday night, however, Trump called him “McMuffin” after an audience member shouted it at the rally.“That’s correct, that’s his name, he said Evan McMuffin, do you believe this?” Trump said. “I never heard of this guy before. Nobody did. And the polls said he’s even with Donald Trump. My wife said, she looked at the television and she said he’s not even with you. Believe me, he’s not even.”

SNL: “Hillary Clinton” Appeals To Electoral College In “Love Actually” Parody
Last night’s SNL featured a parody of the iconic scene from holiday film classic Love Actually in which Andrew Lincoln silently admits his love for Keira Knightley via a set of written poster cards.
In SNL’s version, Hillary Clinton (Kate McKinnon) appears on the doorstep of a member of the Electoral College (Cecily Strong) with her own set of poster cards. Some very funny poster cards.
This was “actually” laugh out loud funny to me. You’ve got to watch.
Equally funny was the cold open, featuring Alec Baldwin’s “Donald Trump” and Kate McKinnon as “Kellyanne Conway,” which hit on some of the Trumpster’s sore spots.

In its final episode of 2016, “S.N.L.,” the sketch series and enduring thorn in Mr. Trump’s side, began with a cold open on Saturday that went hard at some sensitive spots for the president-elect: his relationship to President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia, his courtship of Melania Trump, and some of his recent gaffes and cabinet nominations. The show all but dared Mr. Trump to respond on his Twitter account, but he did not immediately do so.
A bare-chested Mr. Putin (played by the “S.N.L.” cast member Beck Bennett) soon came down the chimney with a Santa sack. He profusely flattered Mr. Trump as “the best candidate” and “the smartest candidate” — and “the Manchurian candidate,” implying Mr. Trump was an unwitting Russian puppet. I don’t know what that means, but it sounds tremendous,” Mr. Trump said.
Donald Trump Acknowledges His Followers Were “Vicious” And “Violent” During Campaign
During a stop on his “thank you” tour in Orlando, President-elect Donald Trump on Friday admitted that his followers were “vicious” and “violent” during the campaign:
“You people were vicious, violent, screaming, ‘Where’s the wall? We want the wall!’ Screaming, ‘Prison! Prison! Lock her up!’ I mean you are going crazy. I mean, you were nasty and mean and vicious and you wanted to win, right?”
“But now, you’re mellow and you’re cool and you’re not nearly as vicious or violent, right? Because we won, right?”
You’ll recall that during the campaign, Trump often denied violence occurred at his rallies, saying any such incidents were caused by “plants” who were paid to disrupt.
Many times, however, Trump told his crowds he would pay the legal fees of any supporter who was arrested for punching an anti-Trump protester.

Fox News Admits Russia Interfered With Presidential Election
It’s hard to believe this was actually on Fox News.
I wonder if American conservatives will NOW believe the presidential election was hacked and manipulated by Russia and Putin?
Of course, Donald Trump can’t buy into the truth because it would delegitimize his “win.”
NBC News: Russian President Putin Was Personally Involved In Interfering In U.S. Presidential Campaign
From NBC News:
U.S. intelligence officials now believe with “a high level of confidence” that Russian President Vladimir Putin became personally involved in the covert Russian campaign to interfere in the U.S. presidential election, senior U.S. intelligence officials told NBC News.
Two senior officials with direct access to the information say new intelligence shows that Putin personally directed how hacked material from Democrats was leaked and otherwise used. The intelligence came from diplomatic sources and spies working for U.S. allies, the officials said.
Putin’s objectives were multifaceted, a high-level intelligence source told NBC News. What began as a “vendetta” against Hillary Clinton morphed into an effort to show corruption in American politics and to “split off key American allies by creating the image that [other countries] couldn’t depend on the U.S. to be a credible global leader anymore,” the official said.

White House: Donald Trump Was “Obviously Aware” Of Russia’s Meddling In Presidential Election

President-elect Donald Trump was “obviously aware” that Russia meddled in the US election to benefit his own campaign, the White House said Wednesday.
Citing Trump’s own suggestion over the summer that Moscow locate missing emails from Hillary Clinton’s private server, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said the beneficiary of Russia’s cyberintrusions was clear.
“There was ample evidence that was known long before the election, and in most cases long before October, about the Trump campaign in Russia, everything from the Republican nominee himself calling on Russia to hack his opponent,” Earnest said. “It might be an indication that he was obviously aware and concluded, based on whatever facts or sources he had available to him, that Russia was involved and their involvement was having a negative impact on his opponent’s campaign.”
Earnest was speaking as the extent of Russia’s interference in the US election is coming into clearer focus. The CIA has told a group of top US senators that Russia’s hacking was aimed at helping Trump, a finding that’s caused angst among some Democrats, who believe the White House should have provided more details about the hacking ahead of the election.
It’s pretty ludicrous that Trump would spend so much time talking about the election being “rigged” against him, and then pretend that he had no idea the hacking and maneuvering that went on by the Russians was all to help his campaign.
It’s no wonder everyone was surprised at the outcome. We all had no idea the depth of foreign intervention that was going on.

Arizona Man Goes On Wild Rant In LGBT-Friendly Church Because Trump’s Win Gave Him “Permission”
An Arizona man, driving past a church flying an LGBT rainbow flag, stopped his car and stormed into the church’s office ranting about the flag, the LGBT community and more.
He said Donald Trump’s presidential win gave him permission to do and say what he wants.
From the local CBS affiliate in Tempe:
A Tempe church is warning all Valley religious organizations about a man storming into its office using inflammatory, graphic language about the LGBT community, citing Donald Trump’s presidential win as permission. Tempe police said the stranger saw the rainbow flag hanging outside the Community Christian Church on Wednesday and went inside the office to voice his disgust.
“It made me so angry and afraid for our country,” Pastor Doug Bland said. Aside from the man voicing his hatred for the LGBT community, he threatened to pay people to protest outside the church and spread lies about pedophilia among the congregation.
“He said that if Hillary would have won he would have driven right on by the church without stopping, but because Trump won he felt he had permission to say and act the way he wanted to expressing the hate that he had for this particular group of people,” Bland said.
The pastor said his employee kept her composure and didn’t escalate the situation. The man eventually left without further incident. According to Tempe police, the incident was documented but detectives said the man didn’t commit a crime. He threatened to spread lies and picket the church but didn’t cause bodily harm. If he returns, the man could be cited with trespassing.
