Trump Mocks MSNBC Host’s “Bleeding” Face-Lift, GOP Senators Beg Trump To End Undignified Tweets

President Trump went after “Morning Joe” co-hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough this morning in a pair of tweets, mocking Brzezinski of “bleeding badly from a face-lift” when she and finance Scarborough visited Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in December.

This is where I should probably remind that First Lady Melania Trump’s public platform is to combat cyberbullying. Ironic, no?

This new low caused even Republican senators to finally speaking out about the undignified and disgraceful tweets.

Seth Meyers Mocks Fawning Fox News Hosts And Trump’s Fake TIME Magazine Cover

Late Night with Seth Meyers’ “A Closer Look” segment ticks off pretty much every funny thing to laugh about Donald Trump this week.

From fawning Fox News hosts to that now-infamous “fake news” TIME magazine cover that hangs in about 8 Trump golf clubs, plus Trump butt-boy Sean Hannity making sure the world knows about that secret dossier that “talked about Trump, at a Ritz-Carlton, in Moscow, with two prostitutes urinating on his bed.”

Great work there, Sean.

The Internet Asks: Did Chicago Cubs’ Albert Almora Flip Trump The Bird?

The internet is all abuzz today wondering if Chicago Cubs outfielder Albert Almora surreptitiously flipped President Trump the bird during the Cubs’ White House visit today.

Almora told the Chicago Sun-Times, “I had two fingers out. I’d never do that to the president of the United States.”

SBNation zoomed in, and it’s all a whole lot of nothing. Just an optical illusion. You can see his index finger outside of his pocket.

Donald “Fake News” Trump Displays Actual Fake TIME Magazine Covers At Golf Resorts

The man who yells “fake news” has been decorating his golf clubs with literal fake news.

At least five Trump golf clubs have fake TIME magazine covers displayed touting the success of Donald Trump’s former reality show, The Apprentice.

Hilarious. And embarrassing.

Maybe this is why he cries “fake news” so often. He’s been creating it for years.

The Washington Post reports:

The framed copy of Time magazine was hung up in at least five of President Trump’s clubs, from South Florida to Scotland. Filling the entire cover was a photo of Donald Trump.

“Donald Trump: The ‘Apprentice’ is a television smash!” the big headline said. Above the Time nameplate, there was another headline in all caps: “TRUMP IS HITTING ON ALL FRONTS . . . EVEN TV!”

This cover — dated March 1, 2009 — looks like an impressive memento from Trump’s pre-presidential career. To club members eating lunch, or golfers waiting for a pro-shop purchase, it seemed to be a signal that Trump had always been a man who mattered. Even when he was just a reality TV star, Trump was the kind of star who got a cover story in Time.

But that wasn’t true.

The Time cover is a fake.

There was no March 1, 2009, issue of Time magazine. And there was no issue at all in 2009 that had Trump on the cover.

In fact, the cover on display at Trump’s clubs, observed recently by a reporter visiting one of the properties, contains several small but telling mistakes. Its red border is skinnier than that of a genuine Time cover, and, unlike the real thing, there is no thin white border next to the red. The Trump cover’s secondary headlines are stacked on the right side — on a real Time cover, they would go across the top.

And it has two exclamation points. Time headlines don’t yell.

“I can confirm that this is not a real TIME cover,” Kerri Chyka, a spokeswoman for Time Inc., wrote in an email to The Washington Post.

You may recall that during a speech in January addressing CIA staff, Trump declared he had been on more Time covers than anyone else: “I think we have the all-time record in the history of Time magazine.”

Actually, that’s incorrect, and kind of ironic given Trump’s current FBI investigation status.The record holder is President Richard Nixon.

Trump Tweets: Obama “Colluded Or Obstructed” In 2016 Campaign

It wouldn’t be a Monday morning without President Trump taking to Twitter to assert some nutty theory.

Now that he’s heard the word “obstruction” so much in regard to himself being investigated by a Special Counsel, it seems like it’s his favorite word.

This morning, Trump accused former President Obama of colluding or obstructing during the last months of the 2016 presidential election in regards to interference with Russia.

“The reason that President Obama did NOTHING about Russia after being notified by the CIA of meddling is that he expected Clinton would win…and did not want to “rock the boat.” He didn’t “choke,” he colluded or obstructed, and it did the Dems and Crooked Hillary no good. The real story is that President Obama did NOTHING after being informed in August about Russian meddling. With 4 months looking at Russia…under a magnifying glass, they have zero “tapes” of T people colluding. There is no collusion & no obstruction. I should be given apology!”

Of course, it’s complete nonsense that the Obama administration did “nothing.” Obama expelled Russian diplomats, seized their compounds, and set sanctions in place for Trump to trigger.

Former spokesman for Obama’s National Security Council, Ned Price, pushed back saying Trump’s latest tweets were “nonsensical” blame-shifting.

“He’s attempting to pin on the Obama administration the very serious charges—namely collusion and obstruction—that federal investigators are examining in the context of his behavior and that of his associates,” Price said.

He added, “This ‘I’m-not-you-are’ strategy tends to be a hallmark of elementary school, not presidential strategy.”

Trump White House Is First In 20 Years To Not Hold A Ramadan Event

For the first time since 1996, the White House has not held a celebration to mark the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which ended at sunset on Saturday.

President Donald Trump did issue official statements for Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, a festival that marks the end of the month-long daytime fast. Even those statements, however, lingered on terrorists and terrorism that many felt held all Muslims responsible for the actions of a few.

“I reiterate my message delivered in Riyadh: America will always stand with our partners against terrorism and the ideology that fuels it,” the Ramadan statement read, in part. “During this month of Ramadan, let us be resolved to spare no measure so that we may ensure that future generations will be free of this scourge and able to worship and commune in peace.”

The Eid statement, while brief, was more conciliatory, commemorating a holiday with Muslims “carry on the tradition of helping neighbors and breaking bread with people from all walks of life.”

Unlike other recent administrations, however, the White House did not hold a dinner or reception to mark either holiday — despite Trump telling ABC News last year that he’d be fine with continuing the Ramadan dinner tradition.

The Trump White House also took a pass on holding a White House seder during the Jewish holiday of Passover.

But he has played golf 30 times since taking office.

Indiana: Carrier A/C Plant Trump “Saved” To Layoff Over 700 Employees

Back in December, President-elect Trump boasted as he toured the Carrier air conditioner plant in Indianapolis that he had “saved” more than 700 jobs at the plant.

It turns out the jobs weren’t quite “saved.”

From the New York Daily News:

Carrier was going to lay off 1,400 workers and open a new facility in Mexico where labor is cheaper.

Trump said that 1,100 jobs would stay in Indianapolis because of his actions.

As it turns out, Carrier did agree to employ at least 1,069 people at the Indianapolis plant for the next 10 years in exchange for the $7 million in incentives.

But the majority of the 1,069 positions are engineering and technical workers whose positions weren’t in jeopardy, CNBC said.

The manufacturers whose jobs were on the line in November are still at risk — and 730 of them will get the ax, CNBC reported.

Trump had also taken credit for getting a promise from United Technologies to invest $16 million into the Indianapolis plant.

But that money is actually going toward more automation — which will result in fewer jobs, CNBC noted.

Trump Admits “Tapes” Comment Was An Empty Bluff

President Trump finally admitted today that he was bluffing when he brought up the possibility that he had recorded conversations with former FBI Director James Comey.

As folks will recall, back in May, just days after Comey’s firing, Trump tweeted: “James Comey better hope that there are no “tapes” of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!”

For weeks reporters have asked whether this was or was not true, and if true when would the President provide those “tapes” to the public?

Via Twitter today, Trump wrote, “With all of the recently reported electronic surveillance, intercepts, unmasking and illegal leaking of information, I have no idea… whether there are “tapes” or recordings of my conversations with James Comey, but I did not make, and do not have, any such recordings.”

Clearly, Trump was merely making stuff up in order to intimidate Comey. When scared, he bluffs.

During his testimony to the Senate Intelligence Committee, Comey welcomed the idea of such recordings saying, “Lordy, I hope there are tapes.”

Trump Distorts Former Homeland Security Secretary’s Testimony

President Trump lied yet again in this early  morning tweet claiming “Former Homeland Security Advisor Jeh Johnson is latest top intelligence official to state there was no grand scheme between Trump & Russia.”

First of all, Johnson was Homeland Security Secretary, not “Advisor.”

Second, that’s not at all what Johnson said in testimony yesterday. What Johnson told the House Intelligence Committee yesterday was:

“In 2016, the Russian government, at the direction of (President) Vladimir Putin himself, orchestrated cyberattacks on our nation for the purpose of influencing our election. That is a fact, plain and simple.”

At no time in his testimony did Johnson ever state that there was no collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign.
