Bruno has the tightest internal clock I’ve ever seen when it comes to food.
He keeps pacing back and forth by my office waiting for me to say “lunch.” Note how fast the tail is wagging in anticipation of eating. You can’t even see it.
Love this guy.

Mama dog in Chile saves her puppies from house fire

During an early morning response to a house fire in Santa Rosa de Temuco, Chile, firefighters witnessed the unbelievable. A mother dog risked her life to save her puppies from the fire surrounding the burning house, which started because of a car bomb.
The mother dog, Amanda, raced back and forth between the house, putting her 10 day old puppies in the safest place she could find – a firetruck!
She didn’t stop racing back into the fire until all of her puppies were safely away from the fire. The firemen on scene could not believe their eyes. Most people have never seen a dog this smart or this brave!
After rescuing all of her pups from the blaze, Amanda sat down next to them, protecting them with her body. Onlookers called an emergency veterinary service and she and her pups were rushed to the hospital. Aside from one puppy being treated for serious burns, the entire family are alive and well – thanks to the bravery of Amanda, the heroic mother!

“Gay dog” abandoned by owner saved from being put down
This handsome dog was set to be put to death in Tennessee today after his owner abandoned him because he thought he was gay.
According to the owner of the shelter, the dog’s master noticed him ‘hunched over’ another male dog, which led him to assume he was gay.
A woman known as the “Jackson Madison Rabies Control Stalker” posted this on Facebook yesterday:
“This guy was signed over to RC, not bc he’s mean or bc he tears things up, but because… His owner says he’s gay! He hunched another male dog so his owner threw him away bc he refuses to have a “gay” dog! Even if that weren’t the most assinine thing I’ve ever heard, its still discrimination! Don’t let this gorgeous dog die bc his owner is ignorant of normal dog behavior! He’s in kennel 10L and he WILL be put down tomorrow bc there is no room at the inn!”
Historically such behavior is seen as a sign of dominance, and wouldn’t be indicative of a dog’s sexual orientation.
The good news is he has been saved by a viral campaign over the past 24 hours. More than 4,000 people shared the Facebook post overnight. Men and women from across the United States volunteered to adopt the dog or pay for him to be moved to a no-kill shelter.
Rescue group “Saving the Animals Together” posted on Facebook Thursday morning that the dog was safe. Here is the woman who reportedly saved the pup:
