Last night’s broadcast of ET including a behind the scenes look at the making of Olivia Newton-John’s new music video “You Have To Believe” co-starring her daughter Chloe Lattanzi.

The song is a re-imagining of Olivia’s huge hit “Magic” from her 1980 movie XANADU, which was released exactly 35 years ago today.

Olivia and Chloe mixed it up in the recording studio with mega-dance producer Dave Aude (over 100 #1s on the Billboard Dance Chart).

Watch the preview below. The music video is be available on iTunes this coming Tuesday, and the track will drop on August 21st.

Funky Friday: Giorgio Moroder Teams Up With Sia “Déjà Vu”

The internet “hustle” is a bit more fun today thanks to the title track of Giorgio Moroder’s upcoming album DEJA VU featuring vocals by the fab Sia.

I shared Moroder’s collaboration with Kylie Minogue for the project back in February.

Music Video: Hercules & Love Affair “Do You Feel The Same”

Hercules & Love Affair team with dance artists at Forsythe Company for their new single “Do You Feel The Same” from the album The Feast of the Broken Heart.

Set in a desolate, post-apocalyptic landscape, the video features performances from contemporary ballet dancer and choreographer Josh Johnson.

Hercules & Love Affair’s Andy Butler drafted renowned fashion designer Bernhard Willhelm, who has previously worked together with Bjork, to give the video its distinctive fluorescent tribal look. Think “Mad Max” meets “couture.”

Directed by AlexandLianne, the video was shot with infra-red cameras, giving this party at the end of the world a strange but vibrant hue.

SNL skit: When Will The Bass Drop?

For those who aren’t huge fans of dance music, this skit from Saturday Night Live lampoons the EDM culture with a character that’s a parody of what looks to be DJs David Guetta and Aviici.

These DJs make millions each year, and have fanbases that rival singing recording artists.

I appreciate a good remix of a pop song, but I don’t get this riled up at a club.  I think I’m not  quite sophisticated to get it.

The screams of “this is the best night of my life” make me giggle…

International recording artist Guto Bittencourt, who recently released his debut single “Down to Rio” with Warner Music featuring Curtis Young (the son of Dr. Dre), is today releasing a remix album out on iTunes.

The album has remixes from XYLO, a House-producing duo consisting of David Schoenwetter and Rich Pilkington, combining background work from both New York and London and the Russian DJs Cosmo and Skorobogatiy.

The song — about Rio de Janeiro, the city where Guto was born — promises to heat up dance floors and music festivals this summer… as well as his native city during the World Cup!
