New Spider-Man Drops In For New “Captain America: Civil War” Trailer

The new Spider-Man finally makes his debut in the latest trailer for “Captain America: Civil War.”

Iron Man calls on Spidey (or “Underoos,” as he hilariously refers to him), who’s evidently on his team, to use his web powers to steal Captain America’s shield and bind his arms.

“Hey, everyone,” Tom Holland’s character then says, perched on a car roof, in the final moments of the second trailer.

In theaters May 6, the action flick pits Captain America (Chris Evans) against Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.).

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Banks $187 Million Domestically On Opening Weekend

Variety reports that “Avengers: Age of Ultron” will score the second-biggest domestic opening in history this weekend with a whopping $187.7 million debut.

One record remained tantalizingly out of grasp for Captain America, Iron Man and company, however. Going into the weekend many analysts predicted that “Avengers: Age of Ultron” would top the $207.4 million haul posted in 2012 by the first film in the super-team series. That box office high-water mark will stand… at least until “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” lands in theaters this Christmas.

In twelve days of release the super-hero flick has cashed in an estimated $627 million world-wide.

“Avengers: Age Of Ultron” Box Office Hits $84.5 Million Opening Day

“Avengers: Age of Ultron” – from Disney and Marvel Studios’ – notched the second-highest opening day domestic launch ever with $84.5 million at the box office.

The record holder for highest opening day box office is currently “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2” with $91 million.

From Variety:

“Ultron” is projected to be neck-and-neck with the original “Avengers,” looking at a range of $200 million to $210 million for its opening weekend — even with Saturday’s sports distractions of the Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather fight, the Kentucky Derby and the NBA playoffs.

If “Ultron” doesn’t break “The Avengers’” record, it will still finish far ahead of the launch weekend for Disney-Marvel’s “Iron Man 3,” currently the second-highest opening weekend with $174.1 million in May 2013.

Jeremy Renner Sings About “Hawkeye’s” Lesser Known Powers

Jeremy Renner stopped by The Tonight Show last night in support of this week’s opening of AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, and shared this heartfelt parody of Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” to express what it’s like to be a non-super super-hero.

Cute.

You all know I have a thing about Jeremy Renner, right?

Some of the lyrics:

When you’re on a team with the Hulk and Thor
And we’re all up there on the movie screen,
Will the people believe that I’m not quite as tough?
Will anyone even notice me?

But listen I’ve got powers too, they’re pretty sweet.
I promise I can do so much more than just archery.

I’m serious guys.
I’ve got a collection of scarves and berets.
I play trombone in a ska band.
I once got to second base on my Tinder date.
And my cat has got its own Instagram.

I tell you now
I kick ass at Mario Kart.
This year I played an extra in Paul Blart.
I can open a pickle jar.
I’m friggin’ Hawkeye.
Maybe I’m as super as they are.

Robert Downey Jr. Does Not Suffer Neophyte Journalists Lightly

If you’ve ever wanted to watch a train wreck of an interview…

We see interviews on Entertainment Tonight or Access Hollywood all the time. Here’s what happens when an amateur attempts an professional interview.

Krishnan Guru-Murthy of Channel 4 gets a slot to interview Robert Downey Jr. for the premiere of Avengers: Age Of Ultron.

But the reporter thinks he’s somehow nabbed a chance to do some in-depth, past-delving interview and brings up Downey’s drug past.

The actor’s eyes tell all the entire interview as he sense’s something gone awry, and eventually shuts the chat down.

I’m married to a successful publicist, and I’ve tagged along on enough high-level interviews to know that RDJ is looking to the movie’s PR person out of some sense of “what the hell is happening here???”

He’s classy that he left it was he did.

Bravo, Iron Man.

Tease: Iron Man Versus Hulk From Upcoming “Avengers: Age Of Ultron”

Regular readers of The Randy Report know I still geek out over super hero movies today. I was a huge comic book fan as a kid, and seeing the amazing visuals technology makes possible today blows my mind when I see these flicks.

Check this newly released clip featuring Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) battling the Hulk from the upcoming film. The clip was introduced during Robert Downey Jr.’s acceptance of the Generation Award at the 2015 MTV Movie Awards.

“Avengers: Age Of Ultron” hits theaters May 1st.
