Marvels' Avengers Endgame isn't just chock full of super heroes on screen. The final chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was super-powered at the box office as well taking in a whopping $1.2 billion in ticket sales worldwide in its opening weekend.

Marvels’ Avengers Endgame isn’t just chock full of super heroes on screen. The final chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was super-powered at the box office as well taking in a whopping $1.2 billion in ticket sales worldwide in its opening weekend.

The film banked $60 million on its first day in U.S. theaters this past Thursday.

For the weekend, the super-hero adventure film is estimated to rake in over $350 million in the U.S., which makes it the first movie to rack up over $300 million in an opening weekend.

The movie had the biggest Friday ever – with $156.7, as well as the biggest Saturday and Sunday, as well.

The fans weren’t just hyped up for the nearly-three hour finale. Critics were bullish on the film as well, which accounts for Avengers Endgame rating a 96 on Rotten Tomatoes.

First Trailer For ‘Avengers: Endgame’

Marvel dropped the trailer for the upcoming Avengers: Endgame flick which lands in theaters April 24.

With half of the Avengers really gone after super-bad guy Thanos obliterated them with a snap of his fingers in the last installment, Chris Evans’s Captain America (back to a clean-shaven twunk) leads the remaining heroes on a mission to bring everyone back from the dead.

Joining the good captain are Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), plus Nebula (Karen Gillian), Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper), Okoye (Danai Gurira), Ant Man (Paul Rudd), War Machine (Don Cheadle) and newly-minted Marvel box office champ, Brie Larson as Captain Marvel.

Marvel Studios dropped the trailer for the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War today and it looks a-mah-zing!

Just about every single Marvel hero from the past few years is in this including three “Chris’s” – Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth and Chris Pratt.  (They couldn’t find a role for Chris Pine???)

Synopsis:

Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and the rest of the Avengers unite to battle their most powerful enemy yet — the evil Thanos. On a mission to collect all six Infinity Stones, Thanos plans to use the artifacts to inflict his twisted will on reality. The fate of the planet and existence itself has never been more uncertain as everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment.

Advance tickets for “Infinity War” went on sale on Fandango at 6AM this morning and by noon it surpassed the two previous top two record holders: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Black Panther.

In theaters April 27.

Excuse me as I, and the entertainment world, totally geek out over the newly-released trailer for Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War.

Bringing together just about everyone in the current Marvel cinematic universe, it’s pretty awesome.

We don’t really get to know much about plot points other than the story centers on galactic bad-guy Thanos.

“An unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Infinity War” brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time. The Avengers and their Super Hero allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.”

According to the press release, the film stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Pom Klementieff, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman, Sebastian Stan, Peter Dinklage, Josh Brolin, and many, many more.
