The Candi & Randy Show: Welcome Back

Sunday night on The Candi & Randy Show we talked about my recent adventure ‘down-under’ to Australia for the premiere of Olivia Newton-John’s new movie “A Few Best Men” – which opened this weekend to the best box office numbers for an Australian comedy in 12 years!

Click here to listen to the show.

We also talk about the men of Australia, my stay at Olivia’s fantastic award-winning Gaia Resort and Spa, go on a walking tour of Melbourne with Olivia and a few other adventures along the way.

Plus we play a few tracks from the soundtrack of “A Few Best Men” featuring Olivia.

So hit play and find out what a movie red carpet is like, plus what it’s like to almost miss your international plane ride home.

If you’d rather download from iTunes for free and listen at your leisure – here’s the link.

(There’s a mandatory ad at the beginning that the player doesn’t play, just give it about 15 seconds…)

Random pics in Sydney

A few random funny/cool pics of Sydney since we arrived.

First Welcome sign we saw in the airport.  Excited to be here!

As we left the plane, the excellent flight attendant gave us a bottle of champagne
and a bottle of chardonnay! It clearly pays to be nice to everyone 🙂

Right outside our hotel and all over Sydney:

We’re here for the world premiere!

Burger King is called “Hungry Jacks” in Oz. Who knew?

My radio show co-shot Candi tasked me with trying as many new Aussie wines
as I can.  I take up the challenge and began my mission here. More wine!

Favorite sign so far. This sign is on the ground at practically every corner.
Clearly a lot of Americans and Europeans who don’t pay attention – like this blond boy –
get hit stepping in front of the wrong lane of traffic.

Olivia’s new “Magic” to debut on OZ’s “DWTS”

WACCI (The Australian Creative Collective) have been raising funds for the Olivia Newton-John Cancer & Wellness Centre through a variety of initiatives. Their latest project is a charity single. Olivia’s classic “Magic” has been remixed by DJ Dan Murphy & Steve Peach to create a brand-new dance version of the song.

Her 1980 #1 song has been remixed by two Aussies – DJ Dan Murphy and Steve Peach – to create a brand new dance version of the song. Olivia went back to the studio to re-sing the vocals and the new version is uplifting and very radio-friendly.

Everybody working on this project has volunteered their time & talent, and all proceeds are being donated to Olivia’s charity.

Olivia will present the world premiere of the song on Dancing With The Stars on Sunday May 22nd.

It will be released exclusively on iTunes also on Sunday May 22nd.

We’re shooting the video the following weekend in Sydney. So make sure you’re free on the afternoon of SATURDAY MAY 28 – and join us to become part of music video history!
