Chihuahua plays with baby tiger
The tiger cub is just adorable.
Note their relationship, and how playful. Animals really are fascinating.

Bear stalks two joggers in Canada
While running on a trail in Matcheetawin in Canada, Bruce Allan and running partner came across a bear.
Watch the terrifying six minutes as the bear seems to stalk the men who have nothing but their calm to keep them safe.
Baby rhino snuggle time
This adorable baby rhino is being cared for by the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre after being orphaned earlier this year when its mother was tragically poached.
They’ve named the little one Gertjie.
From the HESC blog:
We took custody of a very special animal last night. A 3 month old baby rhino, anticipated to have been born around the 19th February, was brought to the HESC after being found next to his dead mother who had been tragically and brutally poached for her horn.
It was a devastating sight, as the tiny animal would not leave her side, and was crying inconsolably for her.
According to the HESC, rhinos will be extinct by 2025 if they continue to be poached at the current rate which has increased by an incredible 3346%.
The HESC is accepting donations to help pay for caring for little Gertjie.
Check out the short video of Gertjie enjoying snuggle time.

Close encounter with a whale shark
I was fascinated by the idea of scuba diving when I was very young. It seemed like the closest thing to having the ability to fly. I thought it was the coolest thing ever.
At the age of twelve, my father let me take the classes needed to be certified as an open water diver. On top of that, I was certified for night diving.
And before I could get to my first open water dive – the movie Jaws came out.
I did one fresh water, river dive in Texas and never went diving again. To this day I’ll only walk calf-deep in the surf at the beach. I won’t go swimming in the ocean.
So imagine my reaction to this clip of divers who come across a whale shark on a dive. And then on top of it, note the guy at the 1:27 mark who literally makes contact with Mr. Jaws.
Oh. My. Hell.
But fascinating video to watch from the safety of my office 🙂

Tough love for bear cub as mama bear comes to rescue on highway
ABC News shares this clip of a bear cub who finds himself on the wrong side of the highway in British Columbia’s Kootenay National Park.
Note the “rescue technique.” I think a LOT of moms have used the “grab the kid by the ear” technique to teach some lessons.
Cute.
