From the upcoming soundtrack of Angelina Jolie’s film UNBROKEN:
Academy Award® winner Angelina Jolie directs and produces UNBROKEN, an epic drama that follows the incredible life of olympian and war hero Louis “Louie” Zamperini (Jack O’Connell) who, along with two other crewmen, survived in a raft for 47 days after a near-fatal plane crash in WWII – only to be caught by the Japanese navy and sent to a prisoner-of-war camp.
UNBROKEN opens in wide release Christmas Day.
This is the third trailer we’ve seen for the upcoming “Maleficent” starring Angelina Jolie.
But in this trailer, we finally see Angelina get her dragon on.
I’m not the biggest Disney fan, but the “other side of the story” aspect plus the incredible visuals make this a must see.
Opens May 30th.

Taken live during the Oscar telecast, host Ellen DeGeneres took and tweeted this “selfie” with a few friends.
(those friend would include Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Channing Tatun, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Meryl Streep and Lupita Nyong’o)

In this first preview of the upcoming Disney film “Maleficent” we get our first glimpse of Angelina Jolie as the evil one.
The movie is positioned to show “Maleficent’s” background and how she became so evil in the first place. Kind of a non-musical WICKED?
Angelina Jolie announced in a New York Times op-ed piece that she had a preventive double mastectomy:
“The truth is I carry a “faulty” gene, BRCA1, which sharply increases my risk of developing breast cancer and ovarian cancer.
“My doctors estimated that I had an 87 percent risk of breast cancer and a 50 percent risk of ovarian cancer, although the risk is different in the case of each woman…
“Once I knew that this was my reality, I decided to be proactive and to minimize the risk as much I could.”
Jolie adds that the cost of testing for BRCA1 and BRCA2 can cost more than $3,000 in the United States.
I wonder if Jolie going public with her story will help women who may find they have the same “faulty gene” to consider the same path?
I also wonder if the same preventative procedure is available to all, or only “all with good insurance,” or if this is something only those with money can afford to do? It’s sure to open a discussion.
