I took a trip back to the 90s last night at the opening night of “Spice Wannabe – The Spice Girls Tribute” at the Excalibur Hotel & Casino here in Las Vegas.

The high-energy show serves up big dose of a nostalgia via an interactive concert event, complete with five-part harmonies, original choreography, iconic costumes, British accents, and the oh-so-crucial ‘Spice Boys’ back-up dancers.

Not your typical tribute show, “Spice Wannabe – The Spice Girls Tribute” is an immersive 90’s concert experience that gets everyone singing and dancing along to the biggest Spice Girls hits including “Wannabe,” “2 Become 1,” “Say You’ll Be There,” “Spice Up Your Life,” “Too Much,” and more.

“I couldn’t be more thrilled,” said creator and co-producer, Casey McConachie (who also plays Baby Spice). “The audience response has been exhilarating!”

While I remember the Spice Girls storming the music scene nearly 30 years ago, releasing 10 singles, three albums and selling over 90 million records worldwide, I wasn’t aware until last night that the Girls are the best-selling girl group in history.
