Republican National Party chairman Reince Preibus thinks the Bill Clinton/Monica Lewinsky scandal of almost 20 years ago is somehow “on the table” in terms of attacking Hillary Clinton, should she decide to run for president in 2016.
I’m not sure how that becomes a solid talking point unless what you’re addressing is the fact that Hillary didn’t quit when the going got tough, AND she showed a strong commitment to her marriage vows by working it out.
However, those don’t sound like anything negative to me.
Call me crazy, but I think those are strong positives to talk on.
End of the day though, I think using a personal issue between a married couple from almost 20 years ago for political gain today is political suicide.
But, we’ve seen worse from the GOP.
