| Sen. Bob Menendez |
Sen. Bob Menendez of New Jersey had reason to celebrate yesterday as the two and a half month long corruption trial against him ended in a mistrial as jurors found themselves deadlocked and unable to come to a unanimous decision.
Speaking to reporters, Menendez referenced his political foes who he says were “digging” his “political grave” so they could take over his senate seat.
“To those who were digging my political grave so they could jump into my seat, I know who you are and I won’t forget you,” the Democratic senator said.
