Today’s Pride Music entry – I’m thinking, “Pride Month, gays like to dance, gays like out UK pop star Calum Scott, and gays LOVE Whitney Houston…”
If you do the math, that makes Scott’s gorgeous re-imagined duet version of Whitney Houston’s 1987 classic “I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)” a grand slam homerun.
The stripped-down arrangement and intimate production seamlessly blends the impeccable vocal performances by Houston and Scott resulting in new musical magic.
The music video is a terrific companion to the track giving us light, airy visuals from the original video release along with performance shots of Scott.
The new track was created with the full approval of Pat Houston, Whitney’s sister-in-law and executor of her estate.
