Florida AG Equates Surrogacy And Adoption Rights With ‘Slavery’

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier is exerting pressure in his state to undermine surrogacy and in vitro fertilization (IVF), attacks that threaten reproductive freedom and the ability to start a family.

Uthmeier, a Republican appointee of Gov. Ron DeSantis, has inserted himself in a routine case attempting to argue that surrogacy violates the 13th Amendment’s prohibition on slavery, and that the state constitution bars biological parents from transferring parental rights at all. CO Gov. Polis Commutes Prison Sentence Of Tina Peters

Convicted former county clerk Tina Peters was granted clemency today by Gov. Jared Polis

Colorado Gov. Jared Polis (D) has granted clemency to Tina Peters, a former county clerk convicted on charges related to a scheme to bolster Donald Trump’s false claims that the 2020 election was stolen.

In 2022, prosecutors accused her of helping to secretly copy voting machine hard drives by allowing a computer expert into secure areas of her office using someone else’s security badge. Judge Bans Kars4Kids Ad From Radio Airwaves

We’ve heard the ubiquitous Kars4Kids commercial jingle for decades.

But now, a California judge has issued an order banning the Kars4Kids from airing its ads in California, as part of a lawsuit that was filed accusing the organization of false advertising.

It seems a LOT of people were under the impression the organization aids underprivileged kids. Nope, the group’s programs include “matchmaking” for young adults and sending Orthodox Jewish 17/18-year-olds in New York and New Jersey to Israel. I met the impossibly talented Delta Goodrem many years ago through Olivia Newton-John. In addition to her musical gifts, she’s one of my favorite human beings to spend time with.

Delta is representing Australia in the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest this year in Vienna. And tonight, she threw down an amazing performance in the semi-finals.

A tourist who drew widespread scorn after a witness recorded him hurling a coconut-sized rock at “Lani,” a beloved, endangered Hawaiian monk seal off a Maui beach, was arrested by federal agents on Wednesday.
