Samuel Woodward, 26, has been found guilty of first-degree murder with a hate crime enhancement for the 2018 stabbing death of gay college student Blaze Bernstein. The two had attended high school together and reconnected on a dating app. The jury took less than two days to come to a verdict. A new 22-minute short film – “I Went to the Smallest Pride in America” – highlights the Pride celebration of LGBTQ people in Morgantown, West Virginia. Social media personality Chris Stanley, 24, traveled to Morgantown (population 30,000) to interview queer residents and record one of the country’s smaller Pride parades. If you go back and review Donald Trump’s time in the White House, you see a lot of turnover in high-level positions like chief of staff, Secretary of Defense, or Secretary of State. Much of that turnover came about because initially Trump didn’t know anything about being president, so he appointed people based on GOP recommendations. But we heard many reports that those experienced individuals would push back on some ideas or orders from Trump they knew were bad or outside the scope of a president’s authority. And thus – exit stage right. Today, Trump frequently tells campaign crowds he plans a much different approach if re-elected. AND his top priority in appointments will be loyalty.
