Netflix shares the first scene from the highly-anticipated Season 2 of its award-winning series Heartstopper.
The first moments of the season follow Charlie (Joe Locke) as he gets ready for school while texting Nick (Kit Connor). From getting dressed to taking the bus to school to walking to class, the two exchange flirty text messages with an energy that’s giddy with light.
Set to the ebullient chords of Maggie Rogers’ “Shatter,” the sequence is very similar to the opening of Season 1, but with a much happier vibe.
Fans on the YouTube page were lit with excitement at seeing the two characters together again.
“Just a few minutes of the first episode and I’m already teared up.”
“This is perfect I was smiling the entire time and teared up a little. This makes my heart feel so warm and cozy.”
“The shots are great, but can we please talk about the PERFECT music choices they always take??? Like, they really find the sounds and lyrics which match the scenes to a pitch.”
Season 2 of Heartstopper premieres on Netflix August 3.
