Hayden Joseph Celebrates Holidays With New EP ‘Last Christmas’

Out country recording artist Hayden Joseph celebrates the spirit of the holidays with his new EP, Last Christmas. The South Carolina native, who excels at blending modern country music and mainstream pop, has had a string of successful releases this year ranging from his oh-so-romantic “Fallin” to the summertime hit “Backwoods Bougie.” Now in holiday mode, Joseph’s pure vocals are front and center on “My Grown-Up Christmas List.” Set amid a gorgeous guitar arrangement, the rising country music artist finds the emotional center of the song without relying on unnecessary musical acrobatics, just excellent musicianship. I think this is now my favorite recording of the 1990 David Foster tune. A bit more upbeat, Joseph’s country-tinged take on the 1984 WHAM!  hit, “Last Christmas,” stays true to his musical instincts.
