The Country Music Association has announced the nominees for the 58th Annual CMA Awards, but Beyoncé, whose chart-topping first entry into the country genre, Cowboy Carter, is notably absent from the nominees.

The record-breaking album also featured collaborations with country artists from Post Malone and Shaboozey to one of the genre’s pioneers, Linda Martell.
Following the March 29 release of “Cowboy Carter,” the album reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and made Beyoncé first Black woman to ever top the Hot Country Albums chart.
The singer also earned top-10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 with the record’s revised cover of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene,” as well as “II Most Wanted” featuring Miley Cyrus.
Both Beyoncé & Post Malone ventured into country music this year, and both earned #1 Country Songs (Beyoncé didn’t need a Morgan Wallen feature)
