Type JebBush.com And See What Happens

Guess what happens when you type JebBush.com into your browser?

Kinda funny. Kinda not.

From CBS News:

As it turns out, the Bush campaign doesn’t own jebbush.com. The domain name is owned by a company called Fabulous.com Pty Ltd., an Australian company that helps people monetize their internet domain names. The site was apparently created on Nov. 19, 1997 and updated on Oct. 20, 2015, according to a domain registration search.

Both Jeb Bush’s and Donald Trump’s campaigns have denied involvement.

The Bush campaign also doesn’t own www.jebbushforpresident.com. That domain name is owned by a gay couple encouraging readers to “have a Chat, Share Viewpoints, and Learn from Each Other.” Jebbushforpresident.net is an anti-Bush site created by “a loyal Florida Republican in the hope of saving the Republican party from supporting Jeb Bush for President.”

Seriously. He couldn’t even register his own domain. How is he going to be president?

Jeb Havens is an international recording artist and songwriter based in Los Angeles, and one of my favorite out musicians.

His music is a blend of catchy pop and raw emotional therapy. His YouTube channel, featuring his popular “Closet Covers” series has over 650,000 views, and captured the attention of Reddit, BuzzFeed, and the TV show “Right This Minute”.

South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley To Endore Marco Rubio

I wonder if this will be enough for Rubio to inch past Ted Cruz into the number two spot in South Carolina?

Donald Trump supporter and all-around nutcase Ann Coulter was not happy.

PPP Poll Shows Trump And Clinton Leading Big In South Carolina

PPP’s new South Carolina poll continues to find Donald Trump with a wide lead in the state.

Trump has a very comfortable lead with 35% to 18% each for Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, 10% for John Kasich, and 7% each for Jeb Bush and Ben Carson.

No big surprise there, but how about this: when asked “Would you support or oppose banning homosexuals from entering the United States?,” 31% of Trump’s supporters are in favor of such a ban.

Additionally, 32% of Trump voters continue to believe the policy of Japanese internment during World War II was a good one.

On the Democratic side Hillary Clinton leads Bernie Sanders 55% to 34%.

Clinton and Sanders are tied with white voters at 46%, which pretty much mirrors how the race played out in Iowa.

But among African Americans Clinton continues to have a substantial advantage over Sanders at 63/23.

Sia Joins THE LATE LATE SHOW’s James Corden For Some “Carpool Karaoke”

The fabulous Sia joins The Late Late Show host James Corden for some “Carpool Karaoke,” and the results are big fun.

Corden, who finds himself lost on the way to work, sees Sia and realizes SHE is the perfect person to give him directions to work.

Along the way, Sia and Corden belt out some of her biggest hits like “Chandelier”, “Diamonds,” “Elastic Heart”, “Alive”, and “Titanium.”

The awesome Aussie also explained the famously over-sized, face-obscuring wigs and hats: “I don’t wear this unless there’s cameras around. I only wear this to maintain a modicum of privacy.”

At one point Corden takes issue with Sia’s diction while singing. And she just laughs LOL…

I love that I had the unexpected but fabulous experience of meeting Sia when she visited Las Vegas in March of last year. She came to see her idol, Olivia Newton-John, in concert and she came backstage for a spell. She was more than joyous, and very happy to take a pic with me. Like just about every Aussie I’ve ever met, she was full of life and completely down to earth.

New Poll Shows Hillary Clinton & Bernie Sanders In Dead Heat For Nevada Caucus

According to a new CNN/ORC poll, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders are in a virtual tie in Nevada only days before the state’s caucuses this Saturday.

Clinton received 48% of likely Democratic caucusgoers while Sanders clocked in at 47%.

It’s worth noting, however, that while the CNN/ORC Nevada Poll was conducted among a random sample of 1,006 adult residents of the state, the results among the 282 likely Democratic primary voters show a plus or minus 6 percentage points in terms of margin of error.

Also, the polling shows no breakdown of ethnicity other than Clinton leading Sanders with whites 46%-44%. If that’s true, and the trend of Clinton doing better with Latinos and African-Americans, you would think she would be further ahead.

The turnout in 2008 was only 8% for the state caucuses, which in the long run, hardly represents an entire state. Sad.

Jon Ralston, noted political reporter in Nevada, tweeted earlier today that without knowing how minorities factor into the polling it’s hard to get a good read of what’s going on in the Silver State.

On the Republican side, it looks to be a blowout for Donald Trump who gets 45% of likely Republican caucusgoers. Sen. Marco Rubio comes in 2nd at 19% and Sen. Ted Cruz a close third with 17%.

Digital Pride: First Online, Global Pride Festival

This year, anyone with a computer, laptop or smartphone will be able to take part in LGBTI Pride from anywhere in the world.

LGBT media site Gay Star News is planning Digital Pride – the first-ever global streaming Pride event.

Via press release:

Everything a Pride should be for everyone in the world.

The LGBTI Pride movement is going fully online for the first time with a new global event – Digital Pride.

Created by Gay Star News, the Digital Pride festival will start on 25 April with the main Pride day on 30 April.

You will be invited to join live-streamed video discussions on topics ranging from identity and isolation to international LGBTI rights.

Help us celebrate our culture with the ultimate crowd-sourced LGBTI music playlist, stop-motion art creations and a short film festival – all shared entirely online.

Celebrities, politicians, activists and YouTube stars will be joining in with video messages and the world’s leading social media channels will help amplify the message of LGBTI love.

And it will all lead up to a big party with live performances – all live streamed, so people who have never had the chance to go to a gay club can be part of it all from the safety of their own homes.

Scott Nunn, Gay Star News director, said: ‘For a lot of people going to a Pride is not an option. They could risk their lives by trying to be open and proud about who they are.

‘The LGBTI community connects digitally more than any other way and we have used our power online to accelerate change around the world.

‘It’s time we brought the power of digital to the Pride movement with this global event.

‘This isn’t just a Pride for one city or even one country. A parade and party are great but Pride can and should be so much more.

‘So Digital Pride in 2016 will build the foundations for an annual LGBTI festival that will become the biggest Pride event in the world. And, in the spirit of Pride, it will be free.’

John Kasich On Same-Sex Marriage: “The Court Has Spoken – That’s The End Of It”

Campaigning in Michigan, Republican White House hopeful Ohio Gov. John Kasich encountered a college student who identified as openly gay and a “staunch Democrat.”

Citing discrimination he faces on a daily basis, the student asked Kasich about his positions on LGBT rights and same-sex marriage.

Here’s what followed via NBC News:

“If I see discrimination in anything, like I said earlier, I’m willing to do what I can,” Kasich said. “Whether it’s executive order or legislation. That’s fine with me. As for marriage equality – let me be clear I’m for traditional marriage but I’ve been to my first gay wedding. A friend of mine is gay and got married. I went home and said to my wife, we’ve been invited to Steve’s wedding and you know, said this is going to be unusual for us. She said, well I’m going. Are you going? And I went. And I had a great time. And there was great champagne.”

The student pressed back, “I don’t think that’s enough for you to say you’ve been to a gay wedding.”

“Well, we’re not changing any laws,” Kasich told him. “We’re not changing. We’re not going to allow discrimination on this.”

“So the Supreme Court upheld marriage equality,” the student noted. “Does that mean you would go out of your way to protect that right?”

Kasich ended the conversation. “Look, we’re not changing any laws,” he said. “The court has spoken. That’s the end of it.”

It goes without saying that Kasich stands in stark contrast to the rest of his fellow Republicans currently seeking the GOP nomination. All of them – Trump, Cruz, Rubio, Bush and Carson – all denounce same-sex marriage.

Jeb Bush Sucks Up To NRA, Twitterverse Laughs Out Loud

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush made a total suck-up move to the NRA this afternoon on Twitter by tweeting the above image with just the single word, “America.”

You would think after all his years in politics, Jeb would be just a tad more savvy and subtle.

But, no.

Twitter didn’t suffer his foolishness quietly.

Pennsylvania State Rep. Brian Sims Drops Bid For Congress

Pennsylvania’s first openly gay State Representative has announced he will drop his bid for Congress.

From Pennsylvania state Rep. Brian Sims (via Facebook):

I wanted to personally let you know that today I have decided to end my campaign for U.S. Congress.

When I started this campaign it was because I felt Philadelphians deserved an advocate in Congress – someone who would focus on equality for all Americans, creating more and better jobs, and ending the culture of gun violence in our streets.

Having walked the streets of the District, and spoken to thousands of neighbors and constituents, I now feel that my friend and colleague, Dwight Evans, is best equipped to take our fight for justice to Washington, DC and will serve Philadelphia well in Congress.

This was not an easy decision, but please know that I am so grateful for your help and support over these past few months.

For now, I have a re-election campaign to win and I hope that you will continue to support my efforts, especially as I work to expand civil rights and fight for justice and equality as a State Representative.
