Comedian Trae Crowder is back as the “Liberal Redneck.”
And while the jokes are still funny, Crowder has a bit more sober message along the way about the dangers of underestimating the Trumpster.
“I’m starting to worry about how quickly people on the left are to dismiss him and his legion of misspelled sign toting fans. Look, y’all, I’ve been confused by it too, Because for literally my whole life, this dude has been the Quentin Tarantino of being a rich douche. He has truly revolutionized the form.”
Tel Aviv Gay Pride, the largest Pride event in the Middle East, attracted hundreds of thousands of attendees to it’s annual parade on Friday.
From the Jerusalem Post:
The parade, which took off from Tel Aviv’s Gan Meir at noon and included music, festivities, speeches and shows, is the largest Pride Parade in the Middle East.
This year’s event spotlighted “Women for a Change,” an organization that highlights the role of women in the LGBT community.
Additionally, the parade included events like a fashion tour, a Eurovision event and the hallmark of the festivities, the LGBT Film Festival.
An annual survey of Americans, taken over 41 years, shows the number of people who admit to having at least some kind of same-sex sexual encounter, has almost doubled.
Via the Portland Herald Press:
The changes were reported Wednesday in the Archives of Sexual Behavior. The research team included faculty from Widener, Florida Atlantic and San Diego State universities. A total of 33,728 people answered the survey over the 41-year period.
The number of U.S. adults who said they had at least one same-sex sexual partner rose between the early 1990s – that question wasn’t asked earlier – and the early 2010s, from 3.6 to 8.7 percent for women and from 4.5 to 8.2 percent for men. Bisexual behavior rose from 3.1 to 7.7 percent.
The survey found that only 1.7 percent of men and 0.9 percent of women said they had exclusively homosexual sex.
Btw – folks shouldn’t buy into the idea that only 2.6% of the population is homosexual. Note that word “exclusively.”
Speaking from personal experience, while I’m a proud openly gay man, I enjoyed having sex with members of the opposite sex when I was in my teens and 20s, meaning that I haven’t had sex with my own sex “exclusively.” But I’m certain most would categorize me as “gay” today.
Hillary Clinton delivered what may be one of the best speeches of her political career today taking on the differences between her foreign policy views versus Donald Trump’s.
I think it’s really a must-watch. The specifics, the tone, the modulation, the slight smile every now and then, a bit of humor. Very accomplished.
I urge you to stop and watch. This is presidential stuff.
Even as Hillary mentioned Trump’s penchant for “composing nasty tweets” – he did. While the Trumpster was concerned about how she “looks,” he forgot to check his spelling.
Bad performance by Crooked Hillary Clinton! Reading poorly from the telepromter! She doesn’t even look presidential!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 2, 2016
From the Human Rights Campaign:
In an exclusive interview with The Today Show this morning, Eric Fanning reflected on becoming the first openly-gay leader of a U.S. military service and the highest-ranking, Senate-confirmed openly-LGBT appointed official.
“I’ve gotten used to the fact that this is going to be a part of any time I get a new job or do something,” he told host Matt Lauer. “And when it first happened I was more bothered by it because I didn’t quite have the track record that people know now. And I wanted the focus on qualifications. Now I embrace it. It’s so important to so many people, I realize. And something I didn’t have 25 years ago.”
Fanning was nominated by President Barack Obama in September and was finally confirmed last month.
“I feel a responsibility as secretary of the Army, not just because of the historical nature of the appointment because I’m gay,” Fanning said. “And I take that responsibility very seriously. I grew up in a military family. I have two uncles that went to West Point. And it was absolutely something that I considered, but wasn’t allowed to serve and so chose another route.”
Fanning’s nomination comes just five years after the historic end of the discriminatory “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” (DADT) law that prohibited qualified LGB Americans from serving in the U.S. armed forces. His confirmation comes as the military is preparing to move forward to lift the ban on transgender service in the military.
“It is the best job that I have ever had — and an incredible honor,” Fanning added.
Tony Award winner Savion Glover appeared with the cast of his on the new show “Maya and Marty” with his cast of the Broadway hit, Shuffle Along, to perform “The Pennsylvania Graveyard Shuffle.”
Note: Glover is nominated for another Tony Award this year for his resoundingly praised choreography. I expect the choreography category to be a close race between Savion and Hamilton‘s Andy Blankenbuehler.
It was recently announced that Savion will be joining the cast of Shuffle Along soon.
One-time B-list actress and current Fox News contributor Stacey Dash is out promoting her upcoming memoir, and in an interview with ET she said transgender folks can “go in the bushes” rather than use a public bathroom.
Seriously.
From Raw Story:
“It’s tyranny by the minority,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “Why do I have to suffer because you can’t decide what you wanna be that day?” Dash said.
“OK, then go in the bushes,” she continued. “I don’t know what to tell you, but I’m not gonna put my child’s life at risk because you want to change a law. So that you can be comfortable with your beliefs — which means I have to change my beliefs and my rights? No.”

Colton Haynes shared some new pics of his new blond locks via Instagram today.
I wasn’t sure what I’d think about the blond, but I like the new “collar.”
