three of the world famous Chippendales at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Tony Award winner Betty Buckley brought her acclaimed show, Ah Men – The Boys of Broadway to The Smith Center in Las Vegas this weekend.

Keeping with the “Men” theme, Betty enjoyed a night at Chippendales at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino. What better than to combine her show “Ah Men” with Vegas’ own men, The Chippendales – the Las Vegas Strip’s answer to “Broadway with Beef.”

The Chippendales can be seen nightly at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Betty’s new CD of her fab show is available on Amazon.com.

GOP continues to pile on Romney after “gifts” commnet

On the Sunday political talk shows, Republicans on Mitt Romney regarding his statement to donors last week that Obama won due in part to “gifts” he gave to African-American, Latino, and younger voters:

Sen. Lindsey Graham on Meet the Press: “We’re in a big hole. We’re not getting out of it by comments like that. When you’re in a hole, stop digging. He keeps digging.”

Newt Gingrich on ABC: “I just think it’s nuts… I mean, the job of a political leader in part is to understand the people. If we can’t offer a better future that is believable to more people, we’re not going to win.”

Conservative writer George Will added on ABC: “It’s been well said that you have a political problem when the voters don’t like you, but you’ve got a real problem when the voters think you don’t like them… quit despising the American people.”

And with that, Mitt Romney is officially denounced by the GOP.

Fox News has little time for LGBT issues

Media Matters notes that Fox News had little time for the marriage equality wins or Tammy Baldwin’s historic US Senate win in Wisconsin.

From November 6 to November 9, Media Matters combed through transcripts of CNN, MSNBC and Fox News for terms related to same-sex marriage. The organization determined that Fox News devoted far less time to the subject than it’s competitors – only one segment and nine mentions to the marriage equality wins, which marked the first time in history that American citizens voted in favor of same-sex marriage. When discussed by Fox newscasters, these victories were usually “bundled with other ballot initiatives,” rather than given individualized attention.

Media Matters also notes that Fox News failed to report on the election of Rep. Tammy Baldwin, the first openly gay candidate to win a seat in the U.S. Senate. By contrast, her election received in-depth coverage on the other networks.

Joe Manganiello posts pic from new movie TEN

Joe Manganiello is shooting a new movie –  David Ayer’s Ten in Atlanta with Arnold Schwarzenegger – and this ain’t no Magic Mike:

“Now I have a huge Unabomber beard, with cornrows and full-sleeve tattoos, and I’ve put on probably like 20 pounds. I look like a biker/murderer, which is really what I’m playing,” he tells EW. “So the body roll asks have subsided. People come up to me now, and they’re like, ‘Hey, I went to go get my car fixed and I’m pretty sure that they screwed me over. Can you go and talk to these people for me?’ That’s my request now. I’m sure after this movie comes out, people are gonna ask me to start killing people for money. Which I guess is a good thing. I’m an actor, so I’m supposed to change.”

In the film, he plays Grinder, a member of a task force the DEA has put together to fight against the Mexican cartels.

Anti-gay “Grass roots” National Organization for Marriage: 75% of funding from 2 donors

The Human Rights Campaign reports that the National Organization for Marriage saw its fundraising decline by a third in 2011 (from $6.2 million from the $9.1 million in 2010).

More interesting to note is the fact that the bulk of the money it raised was from two individual donors, who each put up $2.4 million.

HRC requested NOM’s 2011 990 in person at the organization’s offices this morning.

“The National Organization for Marriage continues to push the notion that there is some sort of grassroots support for their discriminatory anti-gay agenda,” said HRC Vice President of Communications Fred Sainz. “Last week, that notion was soundly rejected by voters in Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, and Washington State. Now, NOM’s own financial records are serving as the latest proof that support for LGBT equality is common-sense and mainstream. NOM is nothing more than a conduit channeling the anti-gay agenda of a few secretive, wealthy donors.”

The sharp drop in funding is notable also because NOM experienced significant financial growth each year since its founding in 2007, when it was formed to demonize LGBT people in California as part of efforts to pass Proposition 8. 2011 marks the first year in which the anti-gay group’s funding declined.

Not so much of a “grassroots movement,” is it?  See the full filing here. And definitely hit the top link for more analysis from the HRC.
