Newark Airport Chaos As Flight Attendant Yells ‘Evacuate!’

An Alaska Airlines flight attendant becomes suspicious of two travelers waiting to board a flight, then suddenly yells ‘evacuate!’ The next thing you know there’s total chaos and pandemonium. The event occurred at a Newark International Airport terminal on Monday night. According to local news station PIX11, Police say the flight attendant had been speaking with the men at Gate 30 around 8:30 p.m. Something caught the attendant’s attention, who hit an alarm button and told people to evacuate. One passenger texted this to local news station PIX11:

“Imagine you’re starting to board and a frazzled flight attendant comes off the plane, stops the process, asks someone to call the police, then starts yelling (with increasing loudness) ‘evacuate!’ I ran with the crowds, hid under some seats, looked for an exit, headed out to the tarmac,” the passenger added.

“Sounded like gunshots but after seeing the damage in this terminal, it’s more likely it was glass being shattered from people jumping. Terrifying.”

“The two men who concerned the flight attendant were identified and questioned by the Port Authority Police Department,” added PIX11. “They were released and no charges were filed. Police also questioned the flight attendant.”

Trump Has ‘Never Heard Of Cat 5 Hurricanes; Four Have Hit US During His Presidency

Donald Trump, during a briefing on Category 5 Hurricane Dorian, shared this word salad of epic proportions:

“All we know is that it’s possibly the biggest. I’m not sure I’ve even heard of a category 5, I knew it existed. And I’ve seen some category 4s. I don’t even think I’ve heard the term other than I know it it’s there and it’s the ultimate and that’s what we have, unfortunately.”

This is at least the fourth time Trump has said he’s never heard of category 5 hurricanes, most recently in May of this year. This is the fourth Category 5 hurricane to strike the United States during his presidency: Irma, Maria, Michael, Dorian.

Trump Will Campaign For Anti-Trans ‘Bathroom Bill’ Candidate In NC

Donald Trump has announced he will campaign at a night-before rally for Republican candidate Dan Bishop (above with Trump) for Congress in a special election in North Carolina. Because, of course… Bishop, among other things, was the author of the hateful, anti-transgender ‘bathroom bill’ in the Tar Heel state. Via The Charlotte Observer:

President Donald Trump will hold a rally in Fayetteville on Sept. 9, the night before a special congressional election in the 9th District.

The Trump campaign announced the rally Tuesday, fulfilling a promise he made in a tweet last week to return to the state to campaign for Republican Dan Bishop. Trump will rally at the Fayetteville Regional Airport at 7 p.m.

Bishop faces Democrat Dan McCready and two third-party candidates in the special election. The election was called after allegations of election fraud caused state officials to nullify the election last fall. The seat has been vacant since January.

You’ll recall the special election is being held because the ‘winner’ from the 2018 election was found to have hired election ‘influencers’ who took and threw away ballots to swing the election to the Republican.

Trump Admin: Children Born To Service Members Overseas Won’t Automatically Be US Citizens

Thanks to a new policy announced by the Trump administration, some children born to U.S. service members and government employees will not automatically be considered citizens of the United States. The new policy came via policy alert issued by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. From Task & Purpose:

Previously, all children born to U.S. citizen parents were considered to be “residing in the United States,” and therefore would be automatically granted citizenship under Immigration and Nationality Act 320.

Now, children born to U.S. service members and government employees who are not yet themselves U.S. citizens, while abroad, will not be considered as “residing in the United States,” changing the way that they potentially receive citizenship.

Children who are not U.S. citizens and are adopted by U.S. service members while living abroad will also no longer receive automatic citizenship by living with the U.S. citizen adopted parents.

This will affect the children born to U.S. service members serving on military bases abroad as well children adopted by military service members. Also affected are children born to service members while overseas who are green card holders but not yet citizens. Children born to parents serving in diplomatic regard will be affected as well. Parents in these situations will have to apply for citizenship for their children before the child’s 18th birthday.

Trump Tells Supporters Fox News “Isn’t Working For Us Anymore”

In the world of Donald Trump, complete and unwavering loyalty is not only expected but demanded.

When Fox News aired an interview with the communications director for the Democratic National Committee, he lashed out at the right-leaning network telling his 64 million followers to “start looking for a new News Outlet.”

“The New @FoxNews is letting millions of GREAT people down!” Trump wrote in a series of tweets. “We have to start looking for a new News Outlet. Fox isn’t working for us anymore!”

His tweets followed an interview of Xochitl Hinojosa, the communications director for the Democratic National Committee, in which she discussed next month’s Democratic presidential debate, among other things.

In his tweets, Trump said Hinojosa had been “spewing out whatever she wanted with zero pushback” from anchor Sandra Smith.

Trump also complained about commentators who appear regularly on Fox, including former DNC chairwoman Donna Brazile and left-leaning pundit Juan Williams, as well as anchor Shepard Smith, who has been critical of Trump at times.

Democrats have repeatedly accused Fox News of having far too sympathetic coverage of Trump and his administration, with some likening it to state-run television.

A Fox News spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Trump’s tweets.

Guy Benson, a Fox News contributor, clapped back on Twitter, writing, “We don’t work for you.”

Trump Approval Rating Has Plunged In Battleground States

  The latest polling by Morning Consult shows Donald Trump has seen his net approval rating decline in every key battleground state since taking office in January 2017. From Axios:

These are the states that Republicans and Democrats are vying for in 2020, and where, as of now, the campaigns think the presidential election will be decided, according to conversations with several Trump and Democratic campaign staffers.

In addition to the key purple states — Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin — that both sides recognize as targets, the Trump campaign has its sights set on Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire and New Mexico, all states Trump lost in 2016, several campaign officials said.

The official added that the campaign, which is planning to beef up its communications and rapid response team with additional hires before the end of the year, will soon be flooding these states with stories that don’t get a lot of attention at the national level — such as Trump’s work on opioids and the U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade deal.

Meanwhile, Democrats are hoping they can pick up Florida, North Carolina, Arizona, Texas and Georgia, per talks with campaign aides and Democratic strategists.

Trump Has Suggested Nuking Hurricanes

Axios is reporting that Donald Trump (above) has suggested on more than one occasion to national security officials that the U.S. bomb hurricanes with nuclear weapons.

During one hurricane briefing at the White House, Trump said, “I got it. I got it. Why don’t we nuke them?” according to one source who was there.

“They start forming off the coast of Africa, as they’re moving across the Atlantic, we drop a bomb inside the eye of the hurricane and it disrupts it. Why can’t we do that?” the source added, paraphrasing the president’s remarks.

Asked how the briefer reacted, the source recalled he said something to the effect of, “Sir, we’ll look into that.”

Trump replied by asking incredulously how many hurricanes the U.S. could handle and reiterating his suggestion that the government intervene before they make landfall.

The briefer “was knocked back on his heels,” the source in the room added. “You could hear a gnat fart in that meeting. People were astonished. After the meeting ended, we thought, ‘What the f—? What do we do with this?'”

Axios’s Jonathan Swan notes the concept of bombing hurricanes isn’t a ‘Trump original,’ as the question has been raised before going back as far as the Eisenhower administration. Scientists at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration have published a fact sheet which addresses the flawed idea. One issue the researchers mention, among many, is radiation fallout. From the fact sheet: “Apart from the fact that this might not even alter the storm, this approach neglects the problem that the released radioactive fallout would fairly quickly move with the tradewinds to affect land areas and cause devastating environmental problems.” The Trumpster denied suggesting such things it on Twitter, so that pretty much confirms he said it. https://twitter.com/realdonaldtrump/status/1165918301932916736?s=21

Trump: I Don’t Have A ‘Messiah Complex’

Donald Trump (above) raised eyebrows this week referring to himself as ‘the chosen one’ when answering questions from the press regarding the current trade war with China. Explaining his position that previous American presidents didn’t tackle China’s behavior when negotiating trade deals with Beijing, Trump said:

“President Clinton, President Bush, and President Obama and others should have done this long before me. My life would be much easier, although I enjoy doing it. But my life would be much easier if I just said, ‘Let China continue to rip off the United States.’ But I can’t do that.”

Finishing his thought, he looked up to the sky and said, “Somebody had to do it. I am the chosen one.” But on Saturday, Trump ranted on Twitter that he was just joking. “When I looked up to the sky and jokingly said ‘I am the chosen one,’ at a press conference two days ago, referring to taking on Trade with China, little did I realize that the media would claim that I had a ‘Messiah complex.’” he said in the tweet.

Former Conversion Camp Scammers Arrested For Child Trafficking

Husband and wife who previously ran 'conversion therapy camps' have been arrested in Texas on child trafficking charges The ringleaders of a former ‘conversion therapy camp’ have been arrested in Texas on child trafficking charges. From local NBC News affiliate KXAN:

More than a year after boys were removed from a nonprofit in Burnet County, the couple who ran it are facing trafficking charges. A grand jury indicted Gary Wiggins, 49, and his wife Meghann Wiggins, 34, on Trafficking of Persons charges.

They are both accused of “knowingly” trafficking four underage boys and “through force, fraud or coercion” making them “engage in forced labor or services.” The two ran Joshua Home, which officials described as a place that “purports to be a residential home for troubled boys.”

According to the indictment, the trafficking allegedly occurred between May 17, 2018 and July 25, 2018. Eight boys between the ages of 10 and 17 were removed after a multi-agency investigation into allegations of abuse, neglect, labor violations, fraud, licensing violations and human trafficking.

The Advocate reports the couple has hopped from state to state setting up so-called ‘conversion therapy’ camps where they tried to torture the gay out of young boys.

Before the Wigginses set up the home in Missouri, they ran the Blessed Hope Boys Academy in Robertsdale, Ala., where Wiggins was referred to as Brother Gary. The shuttered school was the subject of a 20/20 investigation in which boys who’d been sent there spoke out against the abuse that included forced exercise, solitary confinement, withholding food, and various conversion therapy tactics.

“He took off his belt and started swinging,” Lucas Greenfield whose mother sent him to Blessed Hope because he is gay, told 20/20 in 2017.

“I’m going to get the demon out of you and make you straight,” Gary Wiggins told the boys he terrorized, Greenfield told police in 2016.
