FDA Panel Recommends Boosters For High Risk Or 65+ But Not For Younger

An advisory committee to the FDA has recommended authorizing booster shots of the Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine for those 65  or older or those at risk of severe cases of COVID-19. Analysis: Treating Unvaccinated Cost $5.7 Billion Over Past 3 Months

The United States COVID-19 death toll surpassed 800,000 on Sunday.

Analysis from data over the past three months estimates that the costs for treating preventable hospitalizations due to COVID-19 come to about $5.7 billion. CDC: Unvaccinated 11x More Likely To Die From COVID-19

A new study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention conducted from April-July 2021 found people who were not fully vaccinated were more than 10 times more likely to be hospitalized, and 11 times more likely to die of covid-19, than those who were fully vaccinated.
